A system for displaying audio content with text including a book holder and a book. The book holder identifies which book of a plurality is placed in the holder by detecting magnetic indicators in specific locations and arrangements which are unique to each book. The page of the book which a user views at any given time is identified by detection of ambient light, by detection of a number of circuit elements in parallel, by detection of progressively stacked magnetic sensors, or by microwave reflection.

Method and system for illustrating sound and text

A system for illustrating sound and text including a book with pages having illustrations and/or text, at least some of the pages including a magnetic signature; a book holder adapted to accept the book, the book holder having a reading surface with a magnetic signature sensor, cartridge slot, a reading controller, a speaker, and a power supply; and a cartridge adapted to be inserted in the cartridge slot, the cartridge including stored audio representations related to the illustrations and/or text of the pages; wherein the magnetic signature sensory is predisposed to detect and make direct contact with the magnetic signature on the pages as they are turned by a user viewing the book, and wherein the reading controller is adapted to interact with the magnetic signature sensory to determine a given page that the user is viewing responsive to the direct contact between the magnetic signature sensor and the magnetic signature on the given page, and to retrieve audio representations and/or text stored on the cartridge corresponding to the page or pages being viewed by the user and to reproduce audible sounds related to the retrieved audio representations through the speaker for listening by the user.

Thus, the reading controller ( ) reproduces the audible sounds related to the retrieved audio representations through the speaker ( ) for listening by the user.

A cell migration agent promotes the healing of wounds by promoting movement of fibroblast cells away from the periphery of the wound. The agents can include Indole-3-Acetic acid and its derivatives such as Indole-3-Acetyl-L-Phenylalanine. Significant increases in the migration of fibroblast cells were observed at five days after treatment initiation. When administered in a dosage of between 0.1 and 250 ppm, these compounds appear to have the ability to move healthy human fibroblast cells into areas void of cells more rapidly than if the agent were not present. This results in the plumping of the skin or healing of wounds. The compounds can be delivered by topical or internal methods of application.

Skin aging and wound treatment using cell migration agents

The candle has a wick that contains a signal transmission means such as an optical guide or thermocouple. An electronic circuit is coupled to the transmission means so that when a light or heat signature is received by the circuit, it plays a sound stored in a memory. For example, an optical guide can be coupled to an optical switch, so that the optical signal produced by the flame will close the switch and complete a circuit. The circuit can include a storage device, such as an IC CHIP, to store a musical tune. This tune is then played when the candle is lit. When the flame is extinguished, the burnt wick along with the wavelength sensitive optical switches will prevent ambient light from activating the circuit. Likewise, if a thermocouple is used, the absence of a flame will discontiue the production of sound.

The candle has a wick that contains an optical guide, such as a fiber optic cable. An electronic circuit is coupled to the optical guide so that when an optical signal is received by the circuit, it plays a musical tune. For example, the optical guide can be coupled to an optical switch, so that the optical signal produced by the flame will close the switch and complete a circuit. A skin blemish treatment combines a base with therapeutically effective amounts of carbamide peroxide and alpha-hydroxy acid ('AHA'). The resulting formulation effectively treats human acne vulgaris while exhibiting none of the severe adverse side effects associated with benzoyl peroxide. The AHA can be any synthetic or naturally occurring alpha-hydroxy acid. Salicylic acid can augment the composition, as can an anti-inflammatory such as allantoin. Fragrance, coloring agents, and preservatives can also be added.

Skin blemish treatment

A compacted baby powder formulation combines an absorbent with a dry compression agent and a liquid or semi-solid material. The resulting formulation reduces the amount of dispersion of the powdered absorbent. The absorbent can be either an organic or non-organic such as corn starch or talc, respectively. The compression agent can be a microcrystalline cellulose or polyethylene. The liquid or semi-solid can be a ester such as a jojoba ester. The formulation can be augmented with additional additives to provide skin protectant, lubricant or anti-septic benefits.
