The invention relates to infusate containers and related systems and methods for housing infusates that can be added to a fluid flow path for use during dialysis. The infusate containers can include a filter partitioning the containers into a first and second compartment, a draw tube for drawing up fluid from a bottom portion, a cap, a fluid connector for delivery and withdrawal of fluid from the two compartments, and a fluid connector for connection to a dialysis system.

The invention relates to an infusate holder for use in dialysis. The infusate holder can include one or more interior compartments for holding infusate containers or infusates. The interior compartments are aligned to cooperate with fluid connectors of a dialysis system, ensuring that the proper infusates are added to the dialysis system at a proper location.

A method to more effectively and efficiently diagnose problems in a storage network is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a method includes generating, for a storage network, a resource map that identifies components therein. For each component in the resource map, the method identifies an importance factor that indicates the component's importance in the storage network. When a problem is detected in the storage network, the method identifies, for each component in the resource map, a potential cause factor that indicates how likely the component is to have caused the problem. The method also calculates, for each component in the resource map, a problem responsibility factor to indicate to what extent the component is held responsible for the problem. A corresponding system and computer program product are also disclosed.

Problem diagnosis in complex SAN environments

The invention relates to infusate sleeves for use in dialysis and related systems and methods. The infusate sleeves include a sleeve body, a filter inside of the sleeve body, a rigid disk covering an opening in the top of the sleeve body, a draw tube connected to the rigid disk and extending downwardly into the sleeve body, and a fluid connector fluidly connected to the draw tube for connection to a dialysis system.

A method and apparatus for estimating a wave velocity of negative pressure wave in a fluid transportation pipeline. The method including: receiving a plurality of pressure signals from a plurality of sensors; determining time differences produced by the negative pressure wave reaching the adjacent sensors based on the received pressure signals; determining a wave source sensor segment where a wave source of the negative pressure wave is located; and estimating the wave velocities of the negative pressure wave in a non-wave source sensor segment and the wave source sensor segment.

A method and an apparatus for determining leakage volume of fluid in transportation pipelines are provided. The method comprises: obtaining the negative pressure wave signals detected by at least two pressure sensors arranged on the pipeline; determining the pressure signal at the leakage location based on the negative pressure wave signals; determining the leakage rate during a leakage period based on the pressure signal at the leakage location according to a leakage model; and determining the leakage volume of the fluid in the pipeline based on the leakage rate and the leakage period. The apparatus provided corresponds to the method described above. By using the method and apparatus described above, the leakage volume of the transportation pipelines can be obtained to help understand the leakage profile of the pipelines and thus reduce losses (FIG.).

In an approach to automatic connection detection in an environment, the environment including a first device and a switching device, a first port on the first device being connected to a second port on the switching device, automatic connection detection occurs by associating a fifth port on the switching device to the second port. In response to detecting an identifier of a sixth port on a third device at the first port on the first device, it's determined that the sixth port on the third device is connected to the fifth port.

A disposable container for collection of microbe containing fluid samples is useful in a variety of microbial detection methods. One end of the container is provided with a lid comprising fluid flow apertures on one surface and a membrane filter (MF) on an opposed surface. Methods are disclosed wherein the container is disposed in a holding assembly with the lid gripped in a separate platform. The assembly and platform can be displaced relative to each other to separate the lid from the container.

For automatic problem diagnosis, a data collector module collects log data comprising code sets from a plurality of components in a data processing system. An analysis module translates the log data into at least one predefined symptom. Each symptom is associated with at least one code set of the log data. The analysis module selects from a knowledge base at least one problem that includes each symptom. The analysis module further calculates an influence factor for each problem, and ranks each problem from most likely to least likely based on the influence factor of the problem.
