Provided are a backlight assembly and a display device having the same. The backlight assembly comprises an elongated first high voltage lamp extending in a first direction and having respective first and second ends. An intermediated gap fixing part is provided for fixing at an intermediate position along the lengths of the first and second lamps a second separation gap distance (d) that is smaller than the first gap distance. As a result of the positioning of the smaller second gap, if it happens at all; electrical interaction noise and/or corona discharge between the high voltage lamps is encouraged to occur at the position of this smaller second gap distance (d) rather than at the terminal ends of the lamps whereat the lamps couple via power conductors to other parts of the display system.

An image sensor has a large bridge margin from a repulsive force between adjacent micro lenses having different surface properties. The image sensor has a larger bridge margin with a configuration of a stepped portion between two areas, where the first and the second group of micro lenses are formed, over a planarization layer below these two areas. Thus, a zero gap is realized, where no gap between micro lenses exists, and the fill factor of micro lens is maximized. By the realization of the zero gap, interference effects decrease, noise decreases, and fill factor increases, and thus the sensitivity of an image sensor increases, especially the green sensitivity.

When moving to a region of a different time zone, the terminal detects its movement and receives location information from a base station of a mobile communication network in the current region. The terminal retrieves information about a carrier frequency from information relative to an associated radio time signal station, and receives a radio time signal from the radio time signal station. The terminal's Real Time Clock (RTC) is initialized according to the radio time signal and time information of the RTC is updated using time information of an associated region.

The tape carrier package includes a base substrate, a gate driver IC formed on said base substrate, an input pattern formed on said base substrate that applies gate driving signals input from an external device to the gate driver IC, a first output pattern formed on said base substrate that outputs a first gate driving signal processed in said gate driver IC, and a second output pattern formed on said base substrate, that outputs a second gate driving signal bypassing the gate driver IC among the gate driving signals.

The device may also include a precharge controller that may generate a precharge control signal, and NMOS transistors and PMOS transistors to precharge the bit line and the bit line bar in response to the precharge control signal. According to embodiments, a precharge speed of a bit line in a semiconductor device may be improved and an operating cycle time of a memory device may also be improved.
