According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel, a first holographic optical element, a second holographic optical element, a polarizer transmitting first linearly polarized light and absorbing second linearly polarized light orthogonal to the first linearly polarized light, a lens element having a lens action of condensing first circularly polarized light of light transmitted through the second holographic optical element, a first retardation film located between the first holographic optical element and the second holographic optical element, a second retardation film located between the polarizer and the lens element, and a third retardation film located between the second holographic optical element and the polarizer.

Display device that can suppress degradation of display quality

A display device includes a first electrode, and LED chip on the first electrode, an insulating layer embeds the first electrode, contacts a side surface of the LED chip, and exposes an upper surface, a second electrode having translucency in contact with an upper surface of the insulating layer and the upper surface of the LED chip, and a first reflection control layer on an upper surface of the second electrode and having a first opening in an area overlapping with the LED chip. The first reflection control layer has a first surface on a side of the second electrode and a second surface on opposite to the first surface, and a reflectance of the first surface is higher than a reflectance of the second surface.

A display device includes a first planarization film including an opening, a reflective film provided on an inclined surface inside the opening in the first planarization film, an LED chip surrounded by the reflective film and provided inside the opening, and a second planarization film provided on the first planarization film, surrounding the LED chip, and filling the opening, wherein a height from an upper end of the inclined surface of the first planarization film to an interface with air in the second planarization film is 20 μm or less.

The present invention has been made to improve the anti-reflection effect of a light shielding film on the upper surface of a through-hole and provide improved image quality. Disclosed is a liquid crystal display device including a TFT substrate and a counter substrate. The TFT substrate is configured such that a pixel electrode and a common electrode are formed on an organic passivation film, and that a through-hole for connecting the pixel electrode to a TFT is formed in the organic passivation film. A capacitor insulating film is formed between the common electrode and the pixel electrode. A light shielding film is formed and layered on the common electrode. The through-hole is filled with resin. At the upper surface of the through-hole, the capacitor insulating film is formed on the resin. The light shielding film and the common electrode are formed on the capacitor insulating film.

Liquid crystal display device

According to one embodiment, an optical control element includes a plurality of lens forming regions along a first direction and a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, each of the lens forming regions includes an annularly shaped second electrode and a circularly shaped first electrode provided on an inner side of the second electrode, a plurality of first wiring lines connected to the first electrodes each include a first stem portion extending in a zigzag shape along the second direction and a plurality of first branch portions extending from the first stem, and each of the first branch portions overlap the plurality of first electrodes, respectively.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display area, a peripheral area, a pixel electrode disposed, a switching element, a scanning line, a signal line, a metal layer which overlaps at least one of the signal line and the scanning line, an antireflection layer which covers the metal layer, a common electrode which covers the antireflection layer and a power supply line disposed in the peripheral area, to which a common voltage is supplied. The common electrode and the metal layer are connected to the power supply line in the peripheral area.

According to one embodiment, a viewing angle control element includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and an electrolyte layer. The first substrate includes a first transparent substrate, a first light-shielding portion and a second light-shielding portion provided between the first transparent substrate and the electrolyte layer, a first transparent insulating layer provided between the first light-shielding portion and the second light-shielding portion, and a first transparent electrode. The first transparent electrode includes a first electrode portion overlapping the first light-shielding portion, a second electrode portion overlapping the second light-shielding portion, and an opening portion overlapping the first transparent insulating layer.

Viewing angle control element and display device

According to an aspect, a display device with a sensor includes: a first substrate; detection electrodes arrayed in a matrix in a first direction and a second direction intersecting the first direction above the first substrate; sensor wires coupled to one of the detection electrodes; pixels each including sub-pixels and arrayed in a matrix in the first and second directions; scanning lines scanning switching elements of the sub-pixels and extending in the first direction; and signal lines coupled to the switching elements and extending in the second direction. One of the sensor wires overlaps one of the signal lines. The sensor wires each have, at a part thereof, a coupling part coupled to the corresponding detection electrode. The pixels include a first pixel with the coupling part and a second pixel without the coupling part. The first and second pixels are alternately disposed in the first and second directions.

According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal device includes a plurality of first light-shielding members arranged at a first pitch, a first organic insulating film covering the first light-shielding members, a plurality of second light-shielding members overlapping the first light-shielding members, a second organic insulating film covering the second light-shielding members, a plurality of third light-shielding members overlapping the second light-shielding members, a third organic insulating film covering the third light-shielding members, and a plurality of first electrodes arranged at a second pitch that is smaller than the first pitch.

According to one embodiment, a lens array comprises a plurality of lens elements. Each of the plurality of lens elements comprises a boundary surface of two layers with different refractive indices, and an actuator configured to deform the boundary surface.

According to one embodiment, a louver includes a first transparent substrate, a first organic insulating film provided on an inner surface side of the first transparent substrate, and including a first inclined surface and a second inclined surface, a first reflective layer provided along the first inclined surface, and a second reflective layer provided along the second inclined surface. The first reflective layer includes a first reflective surface. The second reflective layer includes a second reflective surface. An interval between the first reflective surface and the second reflective surface increases with distance from the first transparent substrate.
