According to one embodiment, an optical device includes a first light-emitting element and a second light-emitting element, a light-shielding layer disposed to overlap a gap between the first light-emitting element and the second light-emitting element and including a first opening overlapping the first light-emitting element and a second opening overlapping the second light-emitting element, an overcoat layer covering the light-shielding layer, a first micro-lens disposed on the overcoat layer and overlapping the first opening and a second micro-lens disposed on the overcoat layer and overlapping the second opening, and an edge of each of the first micro-lens and the second micro-lens overlaps the light-shielding layer.

Optical device

Performance of a display apparatus is improved. A display apparatus includes: an array substrate including a switching element; and a counter substrate facing the array substrate. In this case, the counter substrate includes: a substrate having a light transmitting property; and an overcoat film being in contact with the substrate, and the overcoat film is made of a plurality of types of films having different refractive indexes.

Display device that can suppress degradation of display quality

A display device includes a first electrode, and LED chip on the first electrode, an insulating layer embeds the first electrode, contacts a side surface of the LED chip, and exposes an upper surface, a second electrode having translucency in contact with an upper surface of the insulating layer and the upper surface of the LED chip, and a first reflection control layer on an upper surface of the second electrode and having a first opening in an area overlapping with the LED chip. The first reflection control layer has a first surface on a side of the second electrode and a second surface on opposite to the first surface, and a reflectance of the first surface is higher than a reflectance of the second surface.

A display device includes a first planarization film including an opening, a reflective film provided on an inclined surface inside the opening in the first planarization film, an LED chip surrounded by the reflective film and provided inside the opening, and a second planarization film provided on the first planarization film, surrounding the LED chip, and filling the opening, wherein a height from an upper end of the inclined surface of the first planarization film to an interface with air in the second planarization film is 20 μm or less.

The present invention has been made to improve the anti-reflection effect of a light shielding film on the upper surface of a through-hole and provide improved image quality. Disclosed is a liquid crystal display device including a TFT substrate and a counter substrate. The TFT substrate is configured such that a pixel electrode and a common electrode are formed on an organic passivation film, and that a through-hole for connecting the pixel electrode to a TFT is formed in the organic passivation film. A capacitor insulating film is formed between the common electrode and the pixel electrode. A light shielding film is formed and layered on the common electrode. The through-hole is filled with resin. At the upper surface of the through-hole, the capacitor insulating film is formed on the resin. The light shielding film and the common electrode are formed on the capacitor insulating film.

Liquid crystal display device

According to one embodiment, an optical control element includes a plurality of lens forming regions along a first direction and a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, each of the lens forming regions includes an annularly shaped second electrode and a circularly shaped first electrode provided on an inner side of the second electrode, a plurality of first wiring lines connected to the first electrodes each include a first stem portion extending in a zigzag shape along the second direction and a plurality of first branch portions extending from the first stem, and each of the first branch portions overlap the plurality of first electrodes, respectively.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display area, a peripheral area, a pixel electrode disposed, a switching element, a scanning line, a signal line, a metal layer which overlaps at least one of the signal line and the scanning line, an antireflection layer which covers the metal layer, a common electrode which covers the antireflection layer and a power supply line disposed in the peripheral area, to which a common voltage is supplied. The common electrode and the metal layer are connected to the power supply line in the peripheral area.

According to one embodiment, a viewing angle control element includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and an electrolyte layer. The first substrate includes a first transparent substrate, a first light-shielding portion and a second light-shielding portion provided between the first transparent substrate and the electrolyte layer, a first transparent insulating layer provided between the first light-shielding portion and the second light-shielding portion, and a first transparent electrode. The first transparent electrode includes a first electrode portion overlapping the first light-shielding portion, a second electrode portion overlapping the second light-shielding portion, and an opening portion overlapping the first transparent insulating layer.

Viewing angle control element and display device

According to an aspect, a display device with a sensor includes: a first substrate; detection electrodes arrayed in a matrix in a first direction and a second direction intersecting the first direction above the first substrate; sensor wires coupled to one of the detection electrodes; pixels each including sub-pixels and arrayed in a matrix in the first and second directions; scanning lines scanning switching elements of the sub-pixels and extending in the first direction; and signal lines coupled to the switching elements and extending in the second direction. One of the sensor wires overlaps one of the signal lines. The sensor wires each have, at a part thereof, a coupling part coupled to the corresponding detection electrode. The pixels include a first pixel with the coupling part and a second pixel without the coupling part. The first and second pixels are alternately disposed in the first and second directions.
