The RFID system includes an RFID reader for sending information selected from among collision type information, idle type information, and readable type information, to all of the RFID tags depending on the number of signals in the corresponding time slot, and RFID tags for performing functions, in which, when information, indicating that a current time slot is a collision type, is fed back from the RFID reader, each of RFID tags selects one arbitrary value of either 0 or 1 and is assigned a time slot, in which a corresponding RFID tag will send a signal to the RFID reader, based on the selected value, a single tag group that caused a collision is divided into two sub-groups depending on the assigned time slots, and tags of the sub-groups send signals, including IDs thereof, to the RFID reader in different time slots for the respective sub-groups.

Method for identifying tags using adaptive binary tree splitting technique in RFID system and RFID system therefore

The present invention relates to a tag anti-collision Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system and a method for tag identification. The method for tag identification consists of a first step of initializing a queue (Q) field and storing a prefix of a candidate queue (CQ) field in the queue field; a second step of transmitting a query including the prefix stored in the queue field to the RFID tags, and deleting the transmitted prefix from the queue field; a third step of inserting a prefix, in which prefixes 0 and 1 are inserted into a rear portion of a prefix of a previously transmitted query, into the queue field if two or more tags respond to the previously transmitted prefix and, therefore, the tags cannot be identified, and inserting the prefix of the previously transmitted query into the candidate queue field and deleting an unnecessary prefix stored in the candidate queue if there is no response or only one tag responds with respect to the previously transmitted prefix; and a fourth step of determining whether a prefix stored in the queue field exists, and returning to the second step if there is a prefix stored in the queue field.

Tag anti-collision RFID system and method for tag identification

Disclosed herein is a method of providing alarm service upon movement out of a safety zone in a mobile communication network. The method is implemented in such a way as to acquire past location registration information for a ward's mobile terminal designated by a subscriber (guardian), the past location registration information being base station identifiers associated with base stations at which the past locations of the ward's mobile terminal has previously been registered, store the acquired past location registration information to a My Base Station DB allocated to the ward, check base station information, associated with a base station at which the current location of the ward's mobile terminal has been registered, at the time of an observation request, determine whether base station information has been stored in the My Base Station DB, detect movement out of the safety zone when the base station information has not been stored in the My Base Station DB, and notify the subscriber of movement out of the safety zone.
