Provided are a pulse-matched filter-based packet detection apparatus and method. The packet detection apparatus includes a photoelectric converter for converting an optical wireless communication signal into an electrical signal, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for converting the electrical signal into a digital signal, a pulse-matched filter for outputting a first correlation representing a correlation between a pulse obtained by oversampling a modulated pulse and the digital signal, a correlator for outputting a second correlation representing a correlation between the first correlation and a preamble code, a packet detection signal generator for generating a packet detection signal by comparing the second correlation and a packet detection threshold value, and a demodulator for demodulating the digital signal based on the packet detection signal.

Pulse-matched filter-based packet detection apparatus and method

The method for configuring the network of a factory energy management system (FEMS) includes receiving a parameter set for configuration of the network, generating a diagram based on a characteristic for the parameter of each of communication schemes available for configuration of the network, determining, based on the diagram, a communication characteristic matrix including a characteristic value representing the characteristic for the parameter of each of the communication schemes, determining a correlation matrix representing a weight for the parameter in each process to be managed by the FEMS, deriving a communication adaptability matrix by applying the weight corresponding to the parameter for each process of the correlation matrix to the characteristic value for the parameter of each of the communication schemes included in the communication characteristic matrix, and determining a communication scheme to be applied for each process from among the communication schemes using the communication adaptability matrix.

Apparatus and method for configuring network of factory energy management system

A network apparatus for interconnecting heterogeneous networks and an interconnecting method thereof. The network apparatus includes a communicator configured to communicate with a heterogeneous network apparatus using the same frequency band, to communicate with the heterogeneous network apparatus through a gateway in a first communication mode, and to perform direct two-way communication with the heterogeneous network apparatus in a second communication mode; and a processor configured to determine a signal received through the communicator, and to determine a communication mode with the heterogeneous communication network.

A pulse generator of an ultra wideband (UWB) system includes: a plurality of delay cells for receiving pulses, delaying the received pulses for a predetermined time, and outputting the delayed pulses; and an edge combiner connected to output ends of the plurality of delay cells for receiving the delayed pulses from the plurality of delay cells, outputting fine pulses corresponding to the delayed time, and generating one impulse signal with the outputted fine pulses. The edge combiner includes a plurality of XOR gates for receiving a first delayed pulse and a second delayed pulse from an ndelay cell and an (n+1)delay cell among the plurality of delay cells and generating fine pulses, respectively, and an OR gate for receiving a first fine pulse and a second fine pulse respectively output from a first XOR gate and a second XOR gate included in the plurality of XOR gates.
