The present invention relates to a chip collecting box for a machine tool and, more specifically, to a chip collecting box, in which bottom plates that open and close by means of hinges are installed on opposite sides at the bottom of a chip collecting box body having open upper and lower portions. When an opening cord is pulling while the chip collecting box body is in an upwardly raised state, the bottom plates on opposite sides become unlocked and open toward the bottom such that machine tool chips stored in the chip collecting box are discharged downward. When a closing cord is pulling after the chips are discharged, the bottom plates on opposite sides are closed by the closing cord and become hooked on a hooking means.

Disclosed is a binary phase shift key (BPSK) demodulating device using a phase shifter and a method thereof. The BPSK demodulating device includes an I signal generator to generate an in-phase (I) signal from a received BPSK signal, a Q signal generator to generate a quadrature-phase (Q) signal from the received BPSK signal, using a plurality of phase shifters, an oscillator to generate a first signal to separate a baseband signal, and a determining unit to determine a transmission phase angle based on the I signal and the Q signal.

A capacitive gas sensor and a method of fabricating the same are provided. The capacitive gas sensor includes an insulating substrate, a metal electrode and a micro thin-film heater wire integrally formed on the same plane of the insulating substrate, and an oxide detection layer coated on the metal electrode and the micro thin-film heater wire. The fabrication method includes depositing a metal layer on an insulating substrate, etching the metal layer so that a metal electrode and a micro thin-film heater wire form an interdigital transducer on the same plane, and forming a nano crystal complex oxide thin film or a complex oxide nano fiber coating layer on the metal electrode and the micro thin-film heater wire as a detecting layer. The capacitive gas sensor can be easily fabricated and can have excellent characteristics such as high sensitivity, high selectivity, high stability, and low power consumption.

An apparatus for and method of deciding symbols in a M-ary phase shift keying (MPSK) system are provided. The apparatus includes: a linear transform unit performing linear transform, to which a phase error is applied, of a received pair of symbols; and a symbol decision unit deciding a transmitted symbol corresponding to the received pair of symbols according to the sign value of the transformed symbol pair. According to the apparatus and method, degradation of a symbol error rate caused by a phase error when an MPSK signal is demodulated can be improved and a phase error can be estimated through a simple method.
