A motor vehicle latch, in particular a motor vehicle side-door latch, comprising a latch plate and comprising a locking mechanism which is mounted on the latch plate and consists substantially of a catch and pawl. The latch plate has an inlet jaw for a latch holder that enters therein and interacts with the locking mechanism. The inlet jaw is reinforced by a circumferential flange. According to the invention, the flange has at least one interruption which completely or partially reduces its installation height in order to compensate for deformations of the latch plate caused by tensile forces.

Motor vehicle latch

A latching device for automotive applications, in particular a backrest latch for the bolting and unbolting of seat backrests in motor vehicles, with a locking mechanism fundamentally comprising a catch and at least one pawl, and with a manually and/or mechanically impingeable unbolting element for the locking mechanism, wherein the unbolting element is a component of an exchangeable unbolting module which defines a latch casing together with a basic module incorporating the locking mechanism is proposed. A latching device where only the unbolting module is adapted to the specific purpose of use is provided, considerably reducing manufacturing, installation and warehousing costs.

Latching device

A latching device for automotive applications, in particular a backrest latch for the bolting and unbolting of seat backrests in motor vehicles. The latching device in its basic construction is equipped with a locking mechanism consisting predominantly of a catch and predominantly a pawl. Furthermore, an element which can be mechanically impinged by a drive unit, in particular an unbolting element is provided for the locking mechanism. In accordance with the invention, the drive unit for the element and in particular the unbolting element is equipped with at least an end stop demonstrating a cantilever arm.

The object of the invention is a motor vehicle latch demonstrating a locking mechanism comprising a catch and at least a pawl, a latch plate (), whereby the locking mechanism can be accommodated in the latch plate () and the latch plate () demonstrates an inlet area (), whereby a latch holder () can be inserted to interact with the locking mechanism in the inlet area () and with at least a deformation () formed in a peripheral area of the inlet area () in the latch plate (), whereby the deformation () is arranged at least in places directly on an edge of the inlet area ().

A motor vehicle latch, in particular, a backrest latch on a motor vehicle seat. This latch is fitted with a locking mechanism consisting essentially of a catch, of a comfort pawl that secures the catch, as well as a pawl that acts on the comfort pawl. The pawl and the catch are resiliently coupled with the aid of at least one spring. The pawl is fitted with a securing arm and an actuating arm spaced apart from the securing arm over a predefined rotation angle, in each case for the comfort pawl.

A drive unit for automotive applications, specifically for application with or in combination with a motor vehicle door lock, a housing (), a motor () as well as an associated motor shaft (), and with at least one spring element () generating an axial force at one end of the motor shaft (), with the spring element () being located in at least one receptacle () in the housing (). In a top view, the spring element () has essentially a T-shaped design with an end plate () and cantilevers () on both sides, with the end plate () acting upon the motor shaft (), and at least the cantilevers () being arranged in the receptacle ().

Drive unit

A lock unit for a vehicle includes a rotatable catch biased in an opening direction about a catch rotation axis toward an open position of the lock unit in which a first recess of the catch is configured to receive a striker of the vehicle. Additionally, the catch includes a second recess disposed before the first recess in the opening direction. A pawl including a slot rotatable about a fixed pawl pivot axis is biased toward both the catch and the pawl pivot axis. The pawl includes a blocking arm which extends into the second recess of the catch when the lock unit is in a secondary latched position. A blocking lever of a ratchet abuts the blocking arm of the pawl against the catch in a primary latched position of the lock unit preventing rotation of the pawl away from the catch. When the lock unit is forced from the secondary latched position to the primary latched position, the pawl moves in a longitudinal direction of the slot avoiding the rotational blocking action of the ratchet.
