By controlling the dimensions of a snowplow blade, improved snowplow performance may be achieved. In one embodiment, the snow that is being plowed moves both upward and outward from the mid-section of the snowplow blade toward and beyond each end of the snowplow blade.

A snowplow assembly may combine a wireless control system used to raise and lower a plow blade with a mechanism that automatically pivots the plow blade from side to side based on the load encountered by the plow blade.

A snowplow assembly includes a mount assembly operatively connected to an associated vehicle, a plow blade assembly pivotally connected to the mount assembly, and a cylinder with a first end pivotally connected to the mount assembly and a second end pivotally connected to the plow blade assembly. The cylinder can include at least one resilient member. The resilient member exerts a force in a first direction when the plow blade assembly is in a first angled position, and the resilient member exerts a force in a second direction when the plow blade assembly is in a second angled position.

A snowplow wing attached to the end of a snowplow blade may be manually adjusted into position to increase the operative width of the snowplowing surface, and otherwise capture or direct the flow of snow being plowed.

A snowplow assembly may include a moldboard frame and a moldboard. The moldboard frame may include an angle member operatively connected to a top member, wherein a space is defined between the angle member and the top member. The moldboard frame may also include a first stop member. The moldboard may include a first recess near a top portion of the moldboard. The top portion of the moldboard is positioned within the space between the angle member and the top member. The first stop member is positioned in the first recess.
