A method and corresponding equipment by which software () on a first device () is virally or otherwise distributed to a second device (), in which the first device () and second device () and possibly also a server () of the software () exchange information sufficient for the first device () to determine whether it includes or stores a version of the software () compatible with the second device (), and if so, then provides a compatible version, but otherwise exchanges information with the second device sufficient for the second device to obtain a copy from the server ().

Textual content arranged in lines and displayed on the screen of electronic device is browsed by a signal processor in response to a down direction selection signal from a down button on a keypad and any links displayed in the lines in a top half of the screen are highlighted link-by-link toward a central area of the screen, wherein after the highlighting progresses to a central area of the screen, in response to further assertions of the down button, scrolling of the textual content commences, line-by-line.

A wireless terminal (and associated method) for communicating pictures via a wireless communication system. The pictures can be either maintained in the wireless terminal in galleries, each gallery including typically up to eight pictures, or the pictures can be stand-alone pictures. When maintained in galleries and stored in non-volatile memory of the wireless terminal, in an electronic folder, the pictures are termed clip-art pictures. The invention allows sending an entire gallery at a time as, among other formats, a single so-called Graphical Messaging System (GMS) picture (18&#xd7;72 pixels). The invention also allows sending individual clip-art pictures in a message including text, actually in-line with the text of the message or indicating where in the text the clip-art pictures would appear in a wireless terminal adapted to the invention. In addition, the invention provides a picture editor allowing a user to create or edit either a clip-art or a standalone picture.
