A quick connector coupling for a fluid line includes a female connector body defining a through bore, a tubular male member with a raised annular upset, and a retainer demountably coupled to the connector body. A seal assembly provides a fluid tight seal between the tube and body bore. A separate outer spacer is secured to the body to receive axial load of the seal assembly. The body defines spaced arcuate locking ledges having axially inward facing radial locking surfaces. The outer spacer is a continuous annular element includes an integral radial ring defining an annular axially outward facing radial abutment surface in radial abutting relation to the locking surfaces of said body ledges.

Quick connector with seal assembly retainer

A quick connector coupling for use with a fluid line includes a connector body defining a through bore extending from a male reception end of the connector body. The connector body is adapted to operably receive a male member extending through the male reception end of the connector body into the bore. A retainer is releasably coupled to the connector body. The retainer is movable relative to the connector body from an unlatched position to the latched position only when the male member is fully inserted into the body. A separable indicia element is releasably engaged to the retainer and is removable from the retainer only when the retainer is in the latched position.

Quick connector coupling with pull tab verifier

A quick connector coupling assembly comprising a conductive connector body, a tubular male member with an upset, and a primary retainer. The primary retainer releasably secures the male member within the connector body. The primary retainer body includes a pair of spaced legs connected by a cross member. The retainer body includes a conductive insert with contact surfaces exposed at the retainer legs to contact the male member and at the cross member to contact the connector body.

Quick connector with conductive path

A quick connector coupling comprising a connector body, a primary retainer, a secondary retainer and a male member having a radially enlarged upset. The connector body includes a stem and a separate cap permanently secured to the stem. The stem defines an axially extending through bore and includes an annular rib located radially outward of the bore. The cap defines an annular groove located radially outward of the bore. The annular rib of the stem is positioned in the annular groove of the cap. The cap is spin welded to the stem to permanently secure the cap to the stem. The connector body further defines two annular abutment surfaces. The primary retainer and the secondary retainer are located axially in between the two annular abutment surfaces of the connector body. The primary retainer has a ring and two primary retainer arm located axially forward of the ring. Each primary retainer arm is in abutting relationship with the upset. The secondary retainer has a ring and two secondary retainer arms located axially rearward of the ring. Each secondary retainer arm is located circumferentially in between two primary retainer arms and in abutting relationship with the upset.

Quick connector coupling

A non-serviceable coupling includes a body with a tube receiving end bore and a hose receiving end bore. The tube includes a radial upset with a seal and spacer supported on the tube. The outer cylindrical surface of the tube is press fit into the reduced diameter bore at the tube receiving end to connect the coupling to the tube. The coupling body is crimped to the tube and to the hose to secure the hose and tube to the coupling. The tube is axially restrained between the crimp and an annular wall in contact with the tube end. In another embodiment, a second seal, outward of the upset is employed to prevent entry of contaminants.

Non-serviceable fluid coupling

A quick connector coupling comprising a connector body having a retainer housing and a separate stem. The retainer housing defines a through bore extending axially rearward from a male member reception end. The retainer housing includes a generally cylindrical spacer portion. The stem defines a through bore extending axially rearward from a housing reception end. The stem includes a spacer housing portion overlying the spacer portion of the retainer housing. The spacer housing portion is crimped or roll grooved radially inward to secure the stem to the retainer housing.

Hybrid quick connector

A quick connector coupling comprising a connector body, a tubular male member with an upset, a primary retainer and a separate redundant latch/verifier. The connector body defines a through bore and the male member extends into the bore. The primary retainer releasably secures the male member within the connector body. The redundant latch/verifier is releasably coupled to the connector body and movable between an unlatched position and a latched position. It includes spaced apart fingers with verifying tabs that permit movement to the latched position only after full insertion of the male member. The fingers have release tabs to manually spread the extension beams. In another form, the connector body includes locking pads extending radially inward. The legs of the primary retainer are located inward of the locking pads preventing the legs from moving to a released position if said male member is pulled in a direction to remove it from the connector body.

Redundant latch/verifier for a quick connector

A fitting or coupling to connect a rigid tube to a flexible hose. It has a through bore and includes a quick connector port at one end and a crimp collar at the other. In one form the coupling includes multiple quick connector ports.

Coupling assembly for tubing and hose connections

A quick connector coupling comprising a female connector body, a tubular male member, a primary retainer and a secondary latch/verifier. The female connector body has a through bore and transverse slots open to the bore. The male tubular member with an annular upset extends into the through bore. The primary retainer is disposed within the slots and releasably connects the male member to the connector body. The secondary latch/verifier is disposed in the slots and is releasably coupled to the connector body and moveable between latched position in which it precludes release of the primary retainer and an unlatched position. In one form, the secondary latch includes a retainer beam arranged to move the secondary latch to its unlatched position on insertion of the male member. In another form the secondary latch/verifier includes externally positioned verifier and additional latch to releasably retain the male member.

Secondary latch/verifier for a quick connector

A hose connector adapted to have a polymeric hose fitted on the outer periphery of the hose connector. The hose connector comprises a metal tubing and a sealing element. The sealing element includes a ring portion and a resilient member portion attached to the ring portion.

Integrated seal for tube to hose connection

A quick connector coupling for forming a joint in a fluid line system. The quick connector coupling comprises a female connector body, a male member and a latch coupled to the connector body. The female connector body has slots formed therethrough and a bore extending from an end of the connector body. The male member extends through the end of the connector body and into the bore. The male member has a tubular surface and an annular upset. The upset has a diameter greater than the diameter of the tubular surface. The latch is in abutting relationship with the male member upset. The latch includes a passive transmitter.
