A reduction device includes a housing defining an input chamber configured to receive exhaust from a power source, an output chamber, an exhaust channel configured to direct the exhaust from the input chamber to the output chamber, and a longitudinal axis. The reduction device also includes a treatment unit disposed in the exhaust channel and along the longitudinal axis. The treatment unit is configured to at least partly remove pollutant species from the exhaust. The reduction device also includes an attenuation component disposed in the housing and radially outward of the treatment unit. The attenuation component is fluidly connected to the exhaust channel, and is configured to attenuate a range of frequencies corresponding to operation of the power source. Additionally, the exhaust channel prohibits exhaust entering the input chamber from exiting the housing without passing through the treatment unit.

Noise attenuation components

An enclosure for a generator includes an air inlet formed at a first end of the enclosure, and an air inlet opening formed in a sidewall of the enclosure. The air inlet includes an air inlet duct formed in an interior space of the enclosure, and in fluid communication with the air inlet opening. The air inlet duct receives the airflow from the air inlet opening to direct the airflow towards an air outlet of the enclosure. The air outlet includes an air outlet duct formed at a second end of the enclosure which receives the airflow from the air inlet opening. The air outlet duct directs the airflow towards an air outlet opening formed in a top plate of the enclosure which provides an exit for the airflow to escape from the interior space to an ambient environment of the enclosure.

This disclosure relates generally to fan shrouds for machine fans, and, more particularly, to the structure and design of double bell mouth shrouds and placement of double bell mouth shrouds relative to a machine fan. In some examples, a fan shroud encircling a circular fan having a plurality of fan blades can be provided. Some example fan shrouds can include an inlet adapted to receive air and an outlet adapted to outlet air. The inlet can include an inlet radius, and the outlet can include an outlet radius. In some examples, the outlet radius can each be about 10% of the fan diameter.

The shooting rest apparatus provides for a shooter to effectively engage moving targets as well as stationary targets. Among the advantages provided by the forestock-only grip of a rifle within the apparatus is that firearms with extended magazines protruding from the bottom of the firearm are accommodated. Felt recoil reduction is a further desirable benefit provided by an adjustable recoil adjustment mechanism. Recoil is absorbed through fore and aft movement only, without barrel elevation. Pistols are also supported by the apparatus.

A computer file backup system and method are provided. An onsite backup device is in communication with the primary device and includes a first backup copy of the files. The primary device includes a first instance of file modification detection software. The onsite backup device includes a first instance of file modification software, as well as a second instance of the file modification detection software. A central backup device is provided in communication with the onsite backup device, and a second backup copy of the files resides there. The central backup device includes a second instance of the file modification software. The detection software detects respective changes to the files between i) the original files and the first copy, or ii) the first copy and the second copy, to determine which files have been updated or renamed. A fork is provided on the backup devices to preserve file metadata.

Air flow openings in a machine housing facilitate air exchange with a machine, but may become outlets for machine noise. In order to protect a machine from possibly damaging elements while facilitating air exchange and attenuating machine noise, the present disclosure includes a machine that is, at least, partially surrounded by a machine housing. An acoustic media grille is positioned adjacent to at least a portion of the machine housing. The acoustic media grille and the portion of the machine housing both define air flow openings that, at least partially, correspond with one another to form an at least partially unobstructed air flow path.

A fan assembly with an improved seal for a mobile machine cooling system is disclosed. A housing is mounted to a machine structure and an impeller is mounted for rotation with respect to the housing. The impeller includes a plurality of rotating blades supported on a flange. A fan inlet is mounted with the housing and directs air toward the blades. A rotating shroud extends outwardly from the impeller flange and has a shroud inlet that extends into the fan inlet to form a seal between the fan inlet and the shroud inlet. The method and apparatus includes forming the seal between the fan inlet and the rotating shroud to prevent leakage as the rotating blades generate a centrifugal airflow for discharge through a fan outlet.

A quiet compact radiator cooling fan having a hub portion, which extends radially outwardly and axially from its inlet to its outlet end, a shroud portion, which extends radially inwardly and axially adjacent the inlet end and radially outwardly and axially adjacent its outlet end forming a converging annular opening and a plurality of airfoil shaped, forward sweep blades disposed between the hub and shroud which cooperate with the hub and shroud to produce a mixed flow radiator fan which has improved blade loading and aeroacoustic performance producing a quiet and efficient cooling fan for off the road vehicles.

A cooling air system for an internal combustion engine has an engine enclosure and a plenum connected to the engine enclosure. A radial flow fan disposed in the plenum has blades which are spaced from the side wall a preselected distance. An inlet duct in the engine enclosure directs drawn outside ambient air toward a radiator located within the engine enclosure. A shroud extending into the plenum directs air flow passing through the radiator axially toward the radial flow fan. An outlet opening at the top end of the plenum exhausts radially directed heated air flow elevationally to the atmosphere.

Cooling air system for an engine

The present rotating fan and shroud assembly reduces noise emitted therefrom and increases cooling system efficiency. The rotating fan and shroud assembly when combined with the labyrinth-type seal also improves serviceability and reduces maintenance time and cost. The positioning a the first end of an inlet bell-mouth portion of the shroud assembly between a pair of flexible members allows the assembly to be easily removed for servicing while preventing recirculation of the cooling air. A radially outward extension of the inlet bell-mouth portion, and the positioning of a second end of the inlet bell-mouth portion and its juncture with an intermediate portion in line with a leading edge of each of a plurality of blades provides a uniform contour for the flow of the cooling air as it enters into the plurality of blades. A radially outward extension of an outlet bell-mouth portion 76 extending axially beyond a trailing edge of the blades, and the positioning of a first end of the outlet bell-mouth portion and its juncture with the intermediate portion being substantially centered on the width of each of the plurality of blades further enhances the flow of the cooling air from each of the blades increase efficiency.
