A method of translating network addresses includes defining a service address including a first IP address for a server. The server actually uses a service address including a second IP address. A packet originating from a client is received, the target address of the packet being the first IP address. The destination address of the packet is changed from the first IP address to a third IP address. The destination address of the packet is then changed from the third IP address to the second IP address. The first packet is then sent to the server. The present disclosure also provides a system for implementing the method of translating network address. The security of data transmission is improved while resolving IP network segment conflicts.

System and method of translating network address

A system to manage internet protocol address (IP) of baseboard management controller (BMC) includes switches, servers, and a management terminal. Each switch transmits to servers link layer discovery protocol in information packets, giving information of itself and a port of itself. Each server transmits obtained information of the switch and the port of the switch and a BMC IP of that server. The management terminal determines whether the BMC IP transmitted from each server is consistent with an assigning BMC IP corresponding to the port of the switch transmitted from the sever according to a relationship between each port of each switch, identification information of each server and assigning BMC IP of each server and displays the identification information of the server in the event that incorrect BMC IP is transmitted to enable a correction to be made. A method for managing BMC IP is also disclosed.

Management system for internet protocol address of baseboard management controller, management terminal, and management method

A server IP address assignment system which can automatically assign IP address for servers includes a data center management system (DCMS) server, a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server, a plurality of switches, and a plurality of servers. The DCMS server obtains a location table of the servers and the switches based upon initial data center construction details, and assigns an IP address to each of the servers, the location table with these assignments is then transmitted to the DHCP server. The server transmits a DHCP packet to the switch, and the switch adds an Option82 message into the DHCP packet and transmits an added DHCP packet to the DHCP server. The DHCP server analyzes the Option82 message of the DHCP packet to obtain the IP address and assigns the IP address to the server. A server IP address assignment method is also provided.

The disclosure storage device provides a hard disk drive (HDD) module, the HDD module includes a plurality of HDD units, and each the HDD unit include a plurality of HDDs, a switching unit, and a plurality of indication units. The switching unit configured for operating in a first state or a second state. Each indication unit is configured to electrically couple to the switching unit. When the switching unit outputs a first state signal, the switch control circuit outputs a first control signal to turn off the corresponding indicating control circuits. A firmware updating method in just a bunch of disks includes the following blocks. A motherboard is coupled to a first primary storage extension chip or to a second primary storage extension chip. The first primary storage extension chip and the second primary storage extension chip are coupled to each other. At least one secondary storage extension chip is coupled to the first primary storage extension chip. At least one secondary storage extension chip is coupled to the second primary storage extension chip. A signal sent to the first primary storage extension chip or to the second primary storage extension chip by the motherboard causes firmware of each storage extension chip to be updated.

Firmware updating method

A storage device includes a primary storage extension chip, a plurality of secondary storage extension chips, and a plurality of resistors. Each of the storage extension chips includes two data pins, a plurality of general purpose input/output (GPIO) pins, and a firmware. Each of the GPIO pins is connected to a power terminal through one resistor, and is grounded through a resistor, for setting a firmware version number of storage extension chips. The primary storage extension chip determines whether the version number of each secondary storage extension chip is same as that of the primary storage extension chip. If the version number is different from that of the primary storage extension chip, the firmware version number of the primary storage extension chip is applied to the secondary storage extension chip.
