An apertured nonwoven web is provided. The apertured nonwoven web comprises carded fibers, a first side, and a second side. The apertured nonwoven web defines a plurality of apertures therein. The apertures may each have a first side aperture size and a second side aperture size, and a ratio of the first side aperture size to the second side aperture size may be between about 1.15:1 to about 1:1.15. The plurality of apertures may have an aperture size regularity of about 1% to about 15%. The plurality of apertures may have an aperture shape regularity between about 1% to about 12%.

A perforated non-woven fabric having at least one fiber layer that has a plurality of through holes. The total area of the through holes accounts for 10&#x2dc;80% of the total area of the perforated non-woven fabric; the opening of the through holes is flat with the surface of the perforated non-woven fabric; and the density of through holes on the perforated non-woven fabric is 3/cm&#x2dc;100/cm. The fiber density at the edge of each through hole is similar to or the same as the fiber density in other areas of the perforated non-woven fabric. The fiber surrounds the through hole, and only the surface of the fiber is bonded to each other.

Perforated non-woven fabric and its manufacturing method

A nonwoven absorbent textile article for absorbing liquid includes a first fiber layer having perforated through holes with an area of 10-80% based on total area of the first fiber layer, having a thickness ranging from 0.2-2.0 mm, and having a contact angle with water that is larger than 70&#xb0; to distribute liquid thereon; and a second fiber layer fixedly connected to the first fiber layer in a hot air through oven by heat bonding and having a contact angle with water that is less than 70&#xb0; to absorb liquid distributed by the first fiber layer, wherein the first fiber layer includes fibers that are sheath/core fibers or an eccentric bi-component fibers, and wherein the first fiber layer has a basis weight of 5-40 g/mand the second fiber layer has a basis weight of 5-40 g/m. Contact with the skin of a user has a dryer feel and provides comfort.

Non-woven absorbent textile article

Provided are a perforated non-woven fabric and a production method thereof. The perforated non-woven fabric is formed by overlapping three-dimensional funnel-shaped openings of two perforated non-woven fabric layers. The first perforated non-woven fabric layer has a protruding portion and a recessed portion. The protruding portion has an internal space. An upper side of the second perforated non-woven fabric layer is adhered to a lower side of the recessed portion of the first perforated non-woven fabric layer. The overlapped three-dimensional funnel-shaped openings pass through the first perforated non-woven fabric layer and the second perforated non-woven fabric layer. An air flow passage is formed between continuous internal spaces of the protruding portions of the first perforated non-woven fabric layer and the second perforated non-woven fabric layer, thereby facilitating penetration of liquid and soft feces, reducing residues, enabling internal and external air flow circulation, and reducing discomfort from wetness.

The present invention also relates to a method for making an aperture web, comprising forming microtextures on a web, and continuously moving the web through a first member comprising male elements and a second member comprising discontinuous female elements, wherein the male elements are arranged in a staggered pattern, and have a shape to form quadrilateral apertures in the micro-textured web.
