Disclosed are a vehicle and a vehicle position calculation method. The vehicle includes an image sensor. The image may acquire, using the image sensor, a video image of a target vehicle, determine, based on the video image, a set of location points of the target vehicle, project, based on the determined set of location points, first three-dimensional coordinate values of location points corresponding to front and rear wheels of the target vehicle onto a two-dimensional plane by converting the first three-dimensional coordinate values into first two-dimensional coordinate values in the video image, project, based on the determined set of location key points, second three-dimensional coordinate values of location points corresponding to bumpers of the target vehicle onto the two-dimensional plane by converting the second three-dimensional coordinate values into second two-dimensional coordinate values in the video image, and control, based on the three-dimensional coordinate values and the second three-dimensional coordinate values, the host vehicle.

Vehicle and vehicle position calculation method

A control method of a vehicle may include: performing a calibration of a plurality of cameras mounted on a vehicle to obtain a parameter of each of the plurality of cameras; generating, based on the obtained parameter, a plurality of distance value tables representing a projection relationship between pixel coordinates in an image of each of the plurality of cameras and actual coordinates in surrounding area of the vehicle; calculating, based on the plurality of distance value tables, an accuracy of actual distance coordinates included in the plurality of distance value tables for a specific area; and generating an accuracy map representing a distribution of the accuracy.

A vehicle includes a first sensor provided to have a field of view facing the surroundings of the vehicle to generate image information, a second sensor including at least one of a radar sensor or a lidar sensor to generate sensing information about the surroundings of the vehicle, and a controller. The controller is configured to identify an object around the vehicle based on processing of the image information and the sensing information, identify distances between the identified surrounding object and the vehicle based on each of the image information and the sensing information, and determine whether correction of an external parameter of the first sensor is necessary based on each of the identified distances and the reference error distribution information.

Vehicle and control method thereof

A vehicle may include a camera obtaining a surrounding image around the vehicle; and a controller configured to derive spatial recognition data by learning the surrounding image of the vehicle as an input value of the controller, derive object recognition data including wheel area data of surrounding vehicles around the vehicle by learning the surrounding image of the vehicle as an input value of the controller, determine a ground clearance between a bottom surface of a vehicle body of the surrounding vehicles and a ground by use of the spatial recognition data and the wheel area data, and control the vehicle to park the vehicle according to the ground clearance.

An apparatus for acquiring surrounding information of a vehicle includes: a camera configured to acquire an entire image of at least one surrounding vehicle; and a controller configured to derive at least one of coordinates of a wheel image area or coordinates of a front-rear image area included in an entire image area, and determine distance information from the vehicle to the at least one surrounding vehicle based on a relative positional relationship between the entire image area and the at least one of the wheel image area coordinates or the front-rear image area coordinates.

Apparatus for acquiring surrounding information of vehicle and method for controlling thereof

A vehicle may include a camera configured to obtain an image of at least one surrounding vehicle; and a controller configured to determine object recognition data including at least one of full area data, wheel area data, and bumper area data of the surrounding vehicle from the image of the at least one surrounding vehicle, based on the object recognition data, to set a reference point in the at least one of the full area data, the wheel area data, and the bumper area data of the surrounding vehicle from the image of the surrounding vehicle, and to predict a driving speed of the surrounding vehicle based on a change in a position of the reference point.
