A method for adjusting relative position of a lens module by using a uniform light source is provided. The lens module includes a bottom board, an image sensor, an adjusting module and a lens apparatus. The image sensor is disposed on the bottom board and perpendicular to the optical axis of the uniform light source. The lens apparatus is moveably disposed in front of the image sensor. The adjusting module connects the lens apparatus to the bottom board. The image sensor electrically connects to a testing module, and the testing module electrically connects to the adjusting module. The method includes: (a) receiving specific signals from the corresponding specific areas respectively; (b) processing the specific signals to determine an adjustment quantity; (c) selectively adjusting the relative position between the image sensor and the lens apparatus by adjusting the module according to the adjustment quantity.

Method for adjusting relative position of lens module by using uniform light source

A method for aligning a lens of a camera with a sensor of the camera. The method includes positioning a test object a predetermined distance away from the lens of the camera, photographing the test object with the camera to produce image data, and outputting the image data from the camera to a calibration device. The method also includes dividing the image data into a plurality of sections, calculating resolution data for at least two sections of the image data, calculating position parameters of the lens according to the resolution data, and correcting alignment of the lens with respect to the sensor according to the position parameters.

Method of aligning lens and sensor of camera

A mode selection device and a multi-function button containing such a device are provided. The mode selection device includes a case, a chassis and a dial. The case has a hole; the chassis, lying under the case, includes a latch and a set of slots. The latch is between the slots. The dial, installed in the hole, includes a recess and a set of protuberances corresponding to the slots. The recess is located in the center of the dial. The protuberances are located under the dial and engage with the slots. When the latch engages with an edge of the dial, the latch, the slots and the protuberances together keep the relative position between the dial and the chassis unchanged.

Multi-function button with mode selection

A sliding lens cap apparatus with close-up and start-up functions is disclosed. The apparatus is equipped in a camera and the camera includes a lens and a lens cap. The lens includes a lens pull rod for adjusting the focal length. The apparatus comprises an orientation rod, a fixed rod and a sliding rod. The orientation rod and fixed rod are coupled fixedly to the camera and form a track for the lens to move along. The orientation rod comprises a close orientation indent, an open orientation indent, and a close-up orientation indent. The sliding rod is movably coupled to the fixed rod and comprises a lens frame coupled to the lens pull rod. When the lens cap moves between the open orientation indent and the close-up orientation indent, the lens cap promotes the sliding rod to shift. By means of the movement of the lens cap, the camera can switch among the close mode, open mode, or close-up mode. The apparatus of the invention can provide easy usage and achieve the design of saving inner camera space and material cost.

The present invention relates to an image scanning apparatus and more particularly to a dual transmissive/reflective image scanning apparatus with protective apparatus. The present invention includes a housing, an original cover, a tray of a first type, and a tray of a second type. The housing provides a slot, within which the tray of the first type or the tray of the second type may be selectively inserted. The tray of the first type is inserted within the slot for reflective scanning, while on the other hand, the tray of the second type is selectively inserted within the slot for transmissive scanning. In addition, a first device is provided within the housing, and the tray of the first type has a second device for selectively coupling with the first device. The original cover has a third device for selectively coupling with the first device. The original cover is not allowed to open as the tray of the second type is inserted within the slot, whereas the original cover is allowed to open as the tray of the first type is inserted within the slot. As the original cover is open, the tray of the first type is not allowed to be withdrawn from the slot. However, as the original cover is closed, the tray of the first type or the tray of the second type is allowed to be withdrawn from the slot.

Dual transmissive/reflective image scanning apparatus with protective apparatus

An scanning apparatus for scanning both of a reflective object and a transparent object is disclosed. The scanning apparatus moves the position of the image-retrieving device to switch the work position of the lens in the image-retrieving device. Therefore, the lens can form the image of the reflective object on the image-detecting device while its work position is on the reflective object. On the other hand, the lens can form the image of the transparent object on the image-detecting device while its work position is on the transparent object.

A flash tube reflector able to distribute light of the flash tube evenly is disclosed. The reflector is a vertical portion of an elliptic cylinder extending along an Y-axis. A cross section of the reflector along the XY plane is a portion of an ellipse. A zenith E at the reflector intersects the X-axis. The flash tube contacts the reflector at E. A is a center of the flash tube and c is a distance between E and A. F is a first focus of the ellipse of the reflector and f is a distance between E and F . F is a second focus of the ellipse and f is a distance between E and F . The relations of c, f , and f are 0.20 &lE;c/f &lE;0.45 and 0.14&lE;f /f &lE;1.0.

Flash tube reflector

A flash unit for a camera comprises a bracket, a reflecting member, two fixed members and a flash emission tube. The bracket is disposed inside the camera, and the reflecting member is disposed inside the bracket. The fixed members are integrally formed on the bracket, and the flash emission tube is fixedly disposed inside the bracket by the fixed members. By integrally forming the fixed members on the bracket, the conventional rubber band for fixing the emission tube can be replaced. Since the number of the consisting elements of the flash unit are thereby reduced, its cost can also be reduced. In addition, assembly time can also be reduced.

A light-measuring device comprises a photosensor, a light shield and a control device. The light shield has a plurality of apertures. Light from a luminous surface of a plane light source project onto the photosensor through the apertures of the light shield to form a plurality of non-overlapping photosensing areas on the photosensor. Each photosensing area on the photosensor generates a corresponding signal. The control device analyzes the corresponding signals from the photosensing areas to check the light from each corresponding test area on the luminous surface. With the light-measuring device, a tester can adjust the color temperature and brightness values of the plane light source.

A method of performing a uniform illumination pattern in a back-light plate using sand-blasting process. This method mainly includes two steps. The first step is to perform a manufacturing process, for example a chemical etching process or a laser-cutting process, to form a hole mask on a metal plate with a predetermined hole pattern. The second step is to position the hole mask of the metal plate on one illuminating face of the back-light plate to perform a sandblasting process. A plurality of recesses, each being no deeper than a predetermined depth, are consequently formed to serve as a uniform illumination pattern of the back-light plate. When visible light emits into the back-light plate, the plurality of recesses on the illuminating face make the emitted visible light uniformly illuminated.

An automatic locking apparatus for a movable module in a device uses device's weight and position to lock the movable module. It includes an input unit located on a bottom wall of the device to detect if the device is positioned on a support plane under a normal state, a transfer unit for receiving input from the input unit to generate a response, and an output unit for receiving the response to actuate a lock or unlock action on the movable module. When the input unit detects the device being properly positioned on the support plane, the transfer unit will be triggered to make the output unit disengaged with the movable module for normal operation. When the input unit detects the device being removed from the support plane at an abnormal state, the transfer unit will be triggered to make the output unit locking the movable module inside the device at a selected location.

Automatic locking apparatus for a movable module in a device

A joint device for coupling a cover with a body of a scanner. The joint device has a pivot means to enable the cover be lifted upward to a height desired according to the thickness of the scanning document. The pivot means has inner walls closed to the interior of the scanner so that outside dusts and dirts won't seep into the scanner. Scanner mechanism may be prevented from contamination and may maintain high scanning quality. The pivot means is simply structured with fewer materials and may be made at less time and low cost.

Joint device for coupling a cover with a scanner body

A heat-dissipating structure for an electrical device comprises a PC board with a dissipating opening, and an electrical device. The PC board has an upper surface thereof and a lower surface thereof located opposite to the upper surface. The electrical device has a plurality of leads thereof extruding from a bottom surface thereof for anchoring the electrical device on the upper surface of the PC board with a substantial spacing in between. The dissipating opening is located under the electrical device for providing an air convection space to dissipate the heat generated by the electrical device. Also, dissipating plates can be installed above or under the PC board for enhancing the heat-dissipating efficiency.

A lens module testing apparatus includes a light source, a grating reflects the light emitting from the light source to form a object light locating at a object location, an adjustable holding device holds a lens module between the object location and a image location, adjusting the holding device to position the lens module to form a testing image of the object light at the image location. A CCD is located at the image location to receive the intensity of the testing image and then generate an electrical signal. A PC analyzes the electrical signal.
