A vehicular driving assist system includes at least one sensor disposed at a vehicle and having a field of sensing exterior of the vehicle. An ECU includes circuitry and associated software, with the circuitry including a data processor for processing sensor data captured by the sensor to detect presence of objects in the field of sensing of the sensor. The ECU, responsive to processing by the data processor at the ECU of sensor data captured by the sensor, determines traffic attributes for a plurality of traffic lanes of a road the vehicle is travelling along. The ECU, responsive to determining the traffic attributes determines a predicted traffic value based on the traffic attributes and an output from a trained prediction model. The ECU, responsive to determining the predicted value, determines a traffic jam probability for at least one traffic lane based on the predicted value and the respective traffic attributes.

Vehicular driving assist system with traffic jam probability determination

A vehicular trailer assist system includes a camera disposed at a rear portion of a vehicle and viewing at least rearward of the vehicle, and an electronic control unit (ECU), which includes an image processor for processing image data captured by the camera. The ECU executes a deep neural network (DNN) to determine presence of a trailer in image data captured by the camera. The DNN, responsive to processing of image data captured by the camera, determines a position of a trailer in the captured image data. The DNN, responsive to determining the position of the trailer, classifies the trailer into a trailer category. The ECU, responsive to the DNN determining the position of the trailer and based on the classification, generates an output to autonomously control the vehicle to align the vehicle with the trailer and navigate the vehicle toward the trailer.

Vehicular vision system with trailer assist and traffic detection functions

A trailer assist system for a vehicle includes a camera disposed at a rear portion of a vehicle and having a field of view exterior and at least rearward of the vehicle, the field of view encompassing at least a portion of a trailer coupler of a trailer stationary a distance from the vehicle. The camera captures image data that is representative of at least the trailer coupler of the trailer. An ECU includes an image processor operable to process image data captured by the camera. The ECU, responsive to image processing at the ECU of image data captured by the camera, determines a location of the trailer coupler using a detector model, which is based on an ensemble regression tree algorithm.

Trailer hitching assist system with trailer coupler detection

A trailer assist system for a vehicle includes a camera disposed at the vehicle and viewing at least rearward of the vehicle including at least a portion of a trailer hitched to the vehicle. A control includes an image processor operable to process image data captured by the camera. The control, responsive to image processing at the control of captured image data, determines at least two feature points on the trailer and determines at least two matched feature point pairs from feature matching over two or more frames of captured image data. The control determines a perpendicular bisector of a respective line segment extending between the determined at least two matched point pairs, (iii) determines an intersection point of the perpendicular bisectors of the determined at least two matched point pairs, and (iv) determines a location of the hitch ball based at least in part on the intersection point.
