A user device may be provisioned with a list of paths for connecting to a network. A method may include determining that the user device has attached to a visited network and sending the visited network an indication of connectivity capabilities associated with the network. The method may include receiving an indication of one or more paths established from the visited network to the network based on capabilities of the visited network. The one or more paths may be included in the list of paths. The method may include transmitting data to or from the user device via a first path of the one or more paths.

Automatic path selection for devices in roaming data networks

A device may receive a request to access a network service from a user equipment (UE) roaming on a visiting public mobile network (VPMN). The device may receive UE radio frequency (RF) band information that identifies a UE supported set of RF spectrum bands, and may receive VPMN RF band information that identifies a VPMN supported set of RF spectrum bands. The device may determine whether to permit or deny access to the network service based on the UE RF band information and the VPMN RF band information, and may provide an instruction to permit or deny access to the network service based on the UE RF band information and the VPMN RF band information.

Selectively providing access to network services based on frequency band information

A device may identify a first set of radio frequency (RF) spectrum bands supported by a visited public mobile network (VPMN) for a first radio access technology (RAT), and may identify a second set of RF spectrum bands supported by a user device for the first RAT. The device may compare the first set of RF spectrum bands and the second set of RF spectrum bands, and may determine whether the user device and the VPMN support a same RF spectrum band for the first RAT. The user device may be registered to use the first RAT when the user device and the VPMN support the same RF spectrum band for the first RAT, or the user device may be registered to use the second RAT when the user device and the VPMN do not support the same RF spectrum band for the first RAT.

Selecting a radio access technology based on radio frequency spectrum bands supported by a user device and by a roaming network

A method including receiving, at a CSCF (Call Session Control Function) portion of a home network in which a mobile station is subscribed, an IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) registration request from the mobile station via a visited network to which the mobile station is attached; establishing an SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) session between the mobile station and the CSCF server in response to the received IMS registration request; receiving, at the CSCF server, a SIP INVITE message from the mobile station during the SIP session, wherein the SIP INVITE requests use of a service; obtaining an identifier for the visited network; obtaining, in response to receiving the SIP INVITE message, a first roaming policy based on the identifier for the visited network; determining whether the SIP INVITE message is acceptable based on the obtained first roaming policy and the service requested by the SIP INVITE message; and sending a response for the SIP INVITE message to the mobile station, wherein the response is based on the determination whether the SIP INVITE message is acceptable.

IMS roaming service policies

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium comprising instructions that provide steering of roaming services based on connection state data pertaining to Diameter connections between visited networks and an internetwork. The steering of roaming services include accepting or denying a request of a roaming user seeking to attach to a visited network and managing and deploying preferred visited network lists to user devices.

Connection state-based long term evolution steering of roaming

A device may receive information identifying a call attempt associated with a calling device. The device may select a domain network, of a plurality of domain networks, for the call attempt. Each of the plurality of domain networks may be associated with a respective domain type. The device may identify the respective domain type associated with selected domain network. The device may cause a tone, associated with the respective domain type, to be output by the calling device to notify a user of the calling device that the call attempt is being made via the selected domain network.
