An FGW () as the device is a network management device for managing a plurality of base station devices each of which perform communication with communication terminal devices by the SC-FDMA method, wherein the FGW () is provided with a parameter determination unit () for determining parameters related to an uplink preamble with respect to at least one among the plurality of base station devices, and a parameter notification unit () for sending notifications of the determined parameters to the base station devices for which the parameters have been determined; wherein the parameter determination unit () determines the parameters so that transmitted sequences of the preamble do not overlap between at least two of the plurality of base station devices.

Disclosed is a wireless communication apparatus in which reception precision characteristics are improved, by specially adapting the modulating processing in respect of the code words for each encoding system. A wireless communication apparatus () wherein an encoding processing section () includes a convolutional encoder that performs convolutional encoding of fixed information blocks made up of K bits. In code word partial sequences obtained on the basis of the head and tail in a fixed information block, a modulating section () maps bits, from bit groups constituting single symbols, to bits associated with groups having poor quality characteristics, prioritising systematic bits over parity bits. In this way, the reception quality characteristics in first code word partial sequences having good error characteristics is equalised. Consequently, since portions having poor reception quality characteristics are prevented from prominent appearance in the first code word partial sequence, the result is that the reception quality characteristics and system throughput can be improved.

A communication apparatus wherein in a case of reporting a reception quality measured for each of a plurality of subbands, even if the band is widened, the degradation in transmission efficiency can be avoided. In this apparatus, an antenna () receives the pilot signals superimposed on a plurality of subbands in a predetermined band. A quality level calculating unit () uses the received pilot signals to measure the reception qualities of the respective subbands. A CQI selecting unit () selects one of a plurality of CQI values that corresponds to one of the measured reception qualities for each subband. An encoding processing apparatus in which reception precision characteristics are improved by specially adapting puncture processing in respect of the code words for each encoding system. A puncture section switches between a puncture pattern for a first code word partial sequence obtained on the basis of the head and tail in a fixed information block, and a puncture pattern for a second code word partial sequence obtained on the basis of the middle portion, excluding the head and tail. A classifying-synthesizing transmission method of multi-user feedback information at a base station. At the base station, a classifier () classifies users into a plurality of kinds on the basis of different efficiencies at the time when the base station transmits information to the users. On the basis of the characteristics of synthetic data, a compressor () compresses the information synthesized, to reduce the quantity of information to be transmitted. A synthesizer () again synthesizes the compressed data of different user kinds. An encoder () adds redundant information to the feedback information to be transmitted. A transmitter () transmits the encoded feedback information to all users. As a result, the quantity of communication of a downward feedback channel can be drastically reduced to spare the use of radio resources.

Classifying-synthesizing transmission method of multi-user feedback information at base station

Provided are a multi-pilot generation method and a detection method in a multi-antenna communication system. In the method, a transmission side superimposes a first preamble sequence and a third preamble sequence to generate a second preamble sequence, which is subjected to serial/parallel conversion before the first preamble sequence and the second preamble sequence are successively transmitted from a plurality of antennas by time division. A reception side receives the first preamble sequence and the second preamble sequence by a plurality of antennas, separates the third preamble sequence from the second preamble sequence by a spatial division process, and performs a pilot correlation process by using the first preamble sequence and the separated third preamble sequence.

Multi-pilot generation method and detection method in multi-antenna communication system

Provided is a carrier allocation method in a multi cell OFDMA system capable of improving the system capacity and the bit error rate performance. In the method, a user terminal U which has received broadcast information (S) uses an empty carrier to transmit a known symbol to a base station device (S). The base station device estimates an average channel gain of an empty carrier block by using the received known symbol (S), compares the channel gain sizes of the respective carrier blocks according to the estimated average channel gain and allocates a carrier block having a large channel gain to the user terminal (S), and compares channel gains of the respective carriers in the carrier block allocated to the user terminal and selects a carrier having a channel gain lower than a predetermined threshold value (S).

A wireless communication system capable of achieving adaptive STTD (Space-time Transmit Diversity). In this system, a receiving apparatus uses a channel estimation to calculate SINR (Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio) of each of substreams in all the combinations of transmission antennas and also calculate the performance of the whole system in all the combinations of transmission antennas, thereby deciding a particular combination, which provides the best performance of the whole system, and obtaining a parameter for antenna selection. The SINR of each substream in the decided particular combination is used to decide an AMC parameter. A transmitting apparatus performs STTD and AMC based on the AMC parameter fed back from the receiving apparatus, and further selects, based on the antenna selection parameter fed back from the receiving apparatus, a particular combination of transmission antennas for performing a transmission.

When deciding to perform the pre-coding, the low power consumption design part () instructs a modulating part () to perform a low-order QAM modulation, while instructing a pre-coding part () to perform a pre-coding. When instructed to perform a low-order QAM modulation, the modulating part () uses a low-order QAM modulation scheme to modulate an input information bit sequence.
