In some embodiments, devices, systems, and methods herein may be used to operate an environmental control system in order to improve environmental satisfaction and/or cognitive function for one or more occupants or groups of occupants of an indoor environment. By some approaches, the devices, systems, and methods described herein may be employed by occupants, managers or owners of indoor environments to improve satisfaction with lighting and/or improve the performance of various executive functions for one or more occupants of an indoor environment. In some embodiments, the devices, systems, and methods described herein may be used to adjust various lighting parameters in an indoor environment, for example, lighting parameters that are indicative of access to natural light in the indoor environment.

Method and apparatus for lighting in an office environment

In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to assess monitor, improve, and/or modify health and well-being as it relates to people associated with a habitable or other built environments or spaces therein. In some embodiments, an intervention assessment system and methods include one or more sensors for measuring aspects related to the built environment, a personal user device, and a control circuit configured to receive one or more measurements form the sensor(s), identify a problem with the built environment, and identify potential interventions based on the indicators associated with the problem. By one approach, a plurality of potential interventions may be ranked based on, for example, the ability to reduce the prevalence of the problem or indicator in the built environment, feasibility, cost, and timeliness. In some approaches, the system and method also select and may implement one or more interventions.

Systems, methods and articles for assessing and/or improving health and well-being

Environmental characteristics or scenes of habitable environments (e.g., hotel or motel rooms, spas, resorts, cruise boat cabins, offices, hospitals and/or homes, apartments or residences, or other spaces or sub-spaces) are controlled to facilitate certain activities of a user in the environment by increasing focus, preparing for sleep, directing movement, masking ambient noise, and improving air quality, among others. Controllable characteristics include, for example, lighting, CO/Olevels, humidity levels, sound, aroma, and air temperature. Controls are provided for the occupant and/or facility personnel to select activities or scenes, or sensors detect the activity and implement an appropriate scene.
