Embodiments of the disclosure relate to methods for metal gapfill of a logic device with lower resistivity. Specific embodiments provide integrated separate tungsten PVD processes with plasma-etch to solve the overhang issue caused by tungsten PVD and the high resistivity caused by nucleation.

Embodiments of the disclosure relate to methods for selectively removing metal material from the top surface and sidewalls of a feature. The metal material which is covered by a flowable polymer material remains unaffected. In some embodiments, the metal material is formed by physical vapor deposition resulting in a relatively thin sidewall thickness. Any metal material remaining on the sidewall after removal of the metal material from the top surface may be etched by an additional etch process. The resulting metal layer at the bottom of the feature facilitates selective metal gapfill of the feature.

The computer system automatically triggers, without user input, a service request for the user by monitoring transport provider availability within a proximity of a current location of the user prior to the specified time, and determines a service request time for the user based on the transport provider availability. The computer system then generates the service request for the scheduled user event based on the service request time.

A computer system monitors a set of computing resources of a user to determine a planned user event, as well as a set of service parameters for the planned user event. Techniques for presenting a featured skill of a first member of a social network system are described. An example system presents the featured skill on a profile page of the first member. The system can receive a request to view the profile page from a device of a second member. Additionally, profile data of the first and second members can be accessed, the profile data including skills associated with the first member. An endorser value can be determined for the first member based on a reputation score, the endorser value being associated with the first member having a specific skill. Moreover, a quality score for each skill in the skills can be calculated using the endorser value and the profile data. Furthermore, the featured skill can be selected based on the quality score. Subsequently, a user interface can present the featured skill on the profile page of the first member.

Presenting endorsements using analytics and insights

The disclosed embodiments provide a system for mitigating a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack. During operation, the system analyzes application layer data in historical traffic to an online system to determine a historical volume of member traffic from an Internet Protocol (IP) address to the online system, wherein the member traffic is generated by members of the online system. Next, the system calculates a rate limit for a set of requests from the IP address to the online system based on the historical volume of member traffic from the IP address. During a DDoS attack, the system outputs the rate limit for use in blocking a subset of the requests from the IP address to the online system.

During operation, the system uses a statistical model to obtain a first metric associated with a user action received by a service.
