Articles that include from 70 wt-% to 99 wt-% of one or more plant based oil that is solid at 25° C., the weight percent based on the total weight of the article; and from 0.5 wt-% to 10 wt-% of fumed silica, the weight percent based on the total weight of the article. Compositions that include: from 5 wt-% to 30 wt-% of one or more plant based oils based on the total weight of the composition; from 70 wt-% to 95 wt-% of an aqueous phase based on the total weight of the composition; from 0.1 wt-% to 5 wt-% of one or more surfactants based on the total weight of the composition; and from 0.05 wt-% to 3 wt-% of a viscosity modifier, wherein the composition has a pH from 4.5 to 9.5, the composition is an oil in water (o/w) emulsion, and the composition is edible. Methods of utilizing disclosed compositions are also included.

A method is provided for placing a preformed dental article. The method comprises: providing a preformed dental article; providing an uncured self-supporting dental article having a first shape, wherein the uncured dental article comprises: a polymerizable resin system; at least 50 wt-% of filler; placing the preformed dental article onto a tooth structure such that the uncured dental article is provided at an interface between the preformed dental article and tooth structure; and forming the uncured dental article into a second shape thereby improving the continuity of the interface.
