The UE can communicate with a first primary base station in a first primary cell (PCell) and a second primary base station in a second PCell. The UE has dual connectivity in the second PCell using a first wireless carrier to communicate with the second primary base station and a second wireless carrier to communicate with a secondary base station in a primary secondary cell (PSCell). The UE receives a message from the first primary base station to perform a handover procedure. Approaches are described for receiving downlink signals simultaneously where analog beamforming is being used to increase the link budget between the base station and user equipment (UE). Alternatives within these approaches include the UE determining the synchronization signal block (SSB) to receive when there are multiple SSBs from different cells in a slot, and determining whether there are other signals in the same symbols with the selected SSB based on the type of signal and the SSB's functionality. In the case where there are another downlink signals channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) or physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) from another cell, the UE selects the corresponding quasi co-location (QCL) assumption to receive the signals. A method that determines a resource at a first user equipment (UE) for a sidelink communication from the second UE to a first UE is described. In an exemplary embodiment, the method receives a request from the second UE to send data to the first UE. In addition, the method determines a preconfigured resource selection window that is used by the second UE. Furthermore, the method determines a first sensing result at the first UE. The determined first sensing result includes information to be reported to the second UE for a resource selection. The determined first sensing results has a plurality of first sensing types.
