The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods to provide uplink spatial relation switch delay for an uplink spatial relation switch based at least in part on a pathloss reference signal associated with uplink spatial relation switch.

Uplink spatial relation switch delay

A cellular base station (BS) which determines an aperiodic sounding reference signal (SRS) triggering offset configuration specifying an offset between an aperiodic SRS trigger received by a user equipment (UE) and transmission of the SRS by the UE. The cellular base station may determine that the SRS triggering offset should be adjusted. In response, the cellular base station may transmit signaling to the UE specifying a new value for the aperiodic SRS triggering offset. The new SRS triggering offset value may be partly based on a minimum timing offset for the UE and may be contained in a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) or in downlink control information (DCI). Additionally, the new triggering offset value may be applicable for a plurality of component carriers or bandwidth parts. The cellular base station may also determine a new triggering offset value due to conflicts regarding the AP-SRS transmission.

Dynamic configuration of aperiodic sounding reference signal offsets in cellular communications systems

Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing techniques for support mobility in a wireless network for user equipments (UEs) with varying capabilities. A UE can receive a first system information from a serving base station, where the first system information includes a UE capability condition associated with a neighbor base station, and determine whether a UE capability meets the UE capability condition associated with the neighbor base station. When the UE capability condition is met, the UE can determine whether a first measurement of a first reference signal received from the serving base station and a second measurement of a second reference signal received from the neighbor base station satisfy a threshold condition. When the threshold condition is met, the UE can obtain a second system information from the neighbor base station, indicating the UE has performed handover to the neighbor base station.

Mobility support for user equipments with varying capabilities in a wireless network

The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods providing transmission power controls in support of expanding a network coverage. In an example, a device is configured to expand the network coverage and establishes multiple wireless links between a base station and a user equipment (UE). The device can be network-controlled, whereby such controls can include adjusting the transmission power used by the device to transmit on at least one of such wireless links.

Techniques discussed herein can facilitate the use of reference signals in active TCI switching. One example aspect is a user equipment (UE), comprising: a memory interface; and processing circuitry communicatively coupled to the memory interface and configured to: receive a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) message that includes an activation command indicating a target transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state; decode the activation command within a decoding period, where the decoding period is a time period allocated for the UE to decode the activation command; receive a TCI resource where the TCI resource is a reference signal; perform time and frequency tracking associated with the target TCI state according the TCI resource; and switch to the target TCI state after performing time and frequency tracking.

This disclosure relates to techniques for aligning wireless device and cellular network expectations and behavior in conjunction with neighbor cell measurements in a wireless communication system. A wireless device may determine that a reference signal is configured for a neighbor cell measurement when communication with the serving cell is also configured. The wireless device may determine whether the reference signal for the neighbor cell measurement is configured with same or different subcarrier spacing as the communication with the serving cell. The wireless device may select one or more of the reference signal for the neighbor cell measurement or the communication with the serving cell to receive based at least in part on whether the reference signal for the neighbor cell measurement is configured with same or different subcarrier spacing as the communication with the serving cell.

Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods, apparatuses, storage media, and systems for configuring and implementing radio resource management (RRM) measurements for monitoring neighboring cells based on synchronization signal block (SSB) timing groups in an radio resource control (RRC) connected (RRC_CONNECTED) state. Various embodiments describe how to determine a set of SSB timing groups, and how to generate a receiver switching pattern based on the set of SSB timing groups and or SSB scanning measurements. The present disclosure relates to apparatus, methods, computer-readable storage medium and computer program product for CSI-RS enhancement for Port Selection Codebook with Channel Reciprocity. A cellular base station, comprising: at least one antenna; at least one radio coupled to the at least one antenna; and a processor coupled to the at least one radio; wherein the cellular base station is configured to: provide a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message to a wireless device; and provide a Channel State Information-Reference Signal (CSI-RS) to the wireless device via one or more ports based on the RRC message, wherein, the RRC message at least indicates one or more of: information on a density of the CSI-RS, information on time domain locations of the CSI-RS, information on a subset of ports for the wireless device to measure the CSI-RS, and information on a subset of Code Division Multiplexing (CDM) groups for the wireless device to measure the CSI-RS.

This disclosure describes methods, systems, and devices for handover of a user equipment (UE) from a source node of a radio access network (RAN) to a target node of the RAN. In one example, a method involves receiving, by the UE and from the source node, a RACH-498 handover message comprising: (i) an uplink grant for establishing a connection with the target node, and (ii) an identifier of a reference signal associated with a beam of the target node. The method also involves performing, by the UE, a handover based on the RACH-less handover message.

Techniques discussed herein can facilitate enhanced radio resource management measurements for wireless technology including New Radio (NR). One example aspect is a baseband processor of a user equipment (UE), including one or more processors configured to receive a measurement link information state link information. The one or more processors are further configured to determine, from the measurement link information, a number of synchronization signal block based measurement timing configurations (SMTCs) (Y) per Rx beam of a number of receive (Rx) beams (N); generate at least one of a subset number of Rx beams (N) of the number of Rx beams based on the measurement link information, or an increased number of SMTCs (Y) of the number of SMTCs corresponding to the number of Rx beams; and perform radio resource management (RRM) measurements according to one or more of the subset number of Rx beams or the increased number of SMTCs.

The UE may determine one or more beams to perform downlink communication from the base station. The UE may perform signal quality measurements for the one or more beams using the first type of downlink reference signals. The UE may determine beam failure of at least one beam of the one or more beams based on said performing signal quality measurements.

Techniques discussed herein can facilitate transmission and reference signals (RS) associated with layer-1 (L1) operations outside of a configured carrier bandwidth (CBW) of a user equipment (UE). One example aspect is a UE with one or more processors configured to transmit UE capability information. The UE capability information includes a frequency separation threshold, where the frequency separation threshold represents a frequency separation from a CBW of the UE. The one or more processors are further configured to receive a RS within the frequency separation threshold and outside of the CBW, and subsequently perform a L1 operation based on the RS.
