The present disclosure provides a biosensor for detecting the presence of and/or the amount of at least one fungal plant pathogen in a sample, comprising: a support structure; at least two interdigitated electrodes coupled to the support structure, wherein at least one of the interdigitated electrodes is functionalized with a linker coupled to at least one biological component that recognizes the at least one fungal plant pathogen; and an impedance measurement circuit coupled to the at least two interdigitated electrodes. The present disclosure also provides methods of detecting the presence of and/or the amount of at least one fungal plant pathogen in a sample, methods of making the biosensor described herein, as well as methods and uses of using the herein described biosensor for detecting the presence of and/or amount of at least one fungal plant pathogen.

Method and device for detecting a component in a sample

A fluid end assembly of a reciprocating pump has multiple fluid end bodies that are removably attached, independently of each other, to a power end assembly of the reciprocating pump, and to a manifold of the fluid end assembly. Each fluid end body defines a discharge outlet that is coaxial with a plunger bore for a reciprocating plunger, and a suction inlet that is disposed above the discharge outlet. A valve assembly is removably insertable into a valve port extending from an external surface of a manifold attached to the fluid end body, without having to remove the manifold from the fluid end body. The valve assembly includes a valve mechanism surrounded by a cylindrical valve body that lines the internal wall of the manifold defining the valve port, thereby forming a barrier between fluid flowing through the valve assembly and the internal wall.

An impedance based biosensor and method for detecting a target biomolecule in a sample are provided. The biosensor has a substrate, and first and second spaced-apart electrodes disposed at the substrate. A molecular recognition element (MRE) for binding with the target is bound to the substrate between the first and second electrodes. The biosensor also has a nanoparticle having an MRE bound to its surface. In the presence of the target, the nanoparticle is immobilized between the first and second electrodes due to binding of the target biomolecule with the first MRE and binding of the target biomolecule with the second MRE. A measurable change in electrical impedance across the first and second electrodes occurs due to the immobilization of the nanoparticle between the first and second electrodes.

Ultrasound stimulation devices and related techniques are disclosed. An ultrasound transducer for generating ultrasound energy is carried by a transducer housing that seals the transducer and may also include a positioning element for positioning the transducer proximate an application area to which generated ultrasound energy is to be applied. The transducer housing may also carry such components as a battery, a wireless receiver, and a controller. The same housing or a separate sensor housing may include an ultrasound sensor that provides feedback to the ultrasound transducer or its controller, illustratively through a wireless transmitter.
