A method for monitoring a circuit breaker and an apparatus and an internet of things using the same. The method includes: obtaining a first data set representing force applied to a fixed point of an element of an actuating mechanism of the circuit breaker in present operation cycle, judging a health condition of the circuit breaker in consideration of normal operating condition related parameters of the element according to a history profile when the circuit breaker operated normally and current operating condition related parameters of the element in the present operation cycle extracted from the force represented by the first data set, and generating a signal indicating the health condition of the actuating mechanism of the circuit breaker. The force applied to the fixed point of the actuating mechanism of the circuit breaker, which corresponds to a health condition of mechanical parts of the circuit breaker as a whole, is selected as an indicator for condition monitoring of the mechanical parts of the circuit breaker. The operating condition related parameters derived from the measurements of the force are considered giving a relatively high accurate judgement of the whole mechanical parts of the circuit breaker.

Method for monitoring circuit breaker and apparatus and internet of things using the same

A method and system for monitoring condition of a fleet of circuit breakers includes: measuring at least one type of operating condition related signal for the respective circuit breakers during their operation; obtaining a set of feature data representing the respective measurements of operating condition related signal; performing cluster analysis of the set of feature data based on a similarity threshold; and generating a signal indicating the condition of the fleet of circuit breakers based on the resulting cluster number. Rather than comparing the data representing the measurements of operating condition related signal to a reference model built on CB's normal data, the method includes applying cluster analysis of the set of feature data representing the respective measurements of operating condition related signal. The method does not need a reference 'normal' database for comparison.

A method for monitoring a circuit breaker includes measuring at least two operating condition related parameters of the circuit breaker during operation of the circuit breaker; obtaining first data representing a vector having at least two components respectively representing the at least two measurements of the at least two parameters; judging location of the vector represented by the obtained data with respect to a vector space having an envelope separating healthy and unhealthy status of the circuit breaker, where the envelope has at least one portion of curvature; and generating a signal indicating the health status of the circuit breaker in consideration of the location of the vector if it is outside of the envelope.

A method and system for condition monitoring electrical equipment includes detecting partial discharge impulses generated in the electrical equipment for at least one power cycle; obtaining first data representing the detected partial discharge impulses for the at least one power cycle; obtaining second data by phase-resolving the first data; obtaining third data by regularizing the second data; analyzing the third data into a first component and at least one second component; obtaining phase information of the first component; shifting the first component and the at least one second component in consideration of the obtained phase information; and generating a signal indicating a health state of the electrical equipment by comparing the shifted first and second components of the third data with their counterparts associated with an unhealthy electrical equipment.

Method and system for condition monitoring electrical equipment

A method for wind converter management, first and second data associated with a group of first measurements and a second measurement of the wind converter may be collected respectively. An association between the group of first measurements and the second measurement of the wind converter may be obtained. A condition of the wind converter may be determined based on a comparison of the collected first and second data and the obtained association.
