A display system and an operation method for the display system are provided. The display system includes a first display and a second display. The first display includes a first input port and a first output port. The second display includes a second output port, a detection circuit, a processor, and a connection prompt circuit. The detection circuit drives the second output port in response to the driving signal. The processor receives the detection signal on the second output port, and determines a connection state of the second output port according to a level of the detection signal. The connection prompt circuit controls the second display to output a connection prompt image according to the connection state.

A display device includes an input port, an output port, a data port, a detection circuit, a processor, and a connection tips circuit. The detection circuit generates a first state value according to a connection state of the input port, and generates a second state value according to a connection state of the output port. The processor generates a third state value according to a connection state of the data port. The processor determines a connection between the display device and an audiovisual source and provides a connection tips signal according to the first state value, the second state value, and the third state value. The connection tips circuit controls the display device to display a connection tips image in response to the connection tips signal.

Display device and operation method for display device

A video transmission method and a display are provided. In the method, a first bandwidth of a video stream inputted into a display is detected. The display includes a scaling controller and a timing controller. The first bandwidth is compared with a second bandwidth used by the scaling controller and the timing controller to obtain a comparison result between the first bandwidth and the second bandwidth. The second bandwidth is changed to a third bandwidth according to the comparison result. The third bandwidth is used for a transmission of the video stream. Accordingly, bandwidth waste and power consumption may be reduced.
