Various methods and systems are provided for patient transfer using a patient table with lockable casters. In one example, a method includes adjusting locking of the lockable casters sequentially in response to an indication of reversing of the patient table. The sequential caster locking may be based on acceleration, velocity changes, or user interface forces. In another example, the system may include sensors to detect operator input and a controller to adjust caster locking accordingly.

A magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system includes an MRI scanner having a bore. The MRI system also includes a table including a cradle and a posterior radio frequency (RF) receiving coil array assembly integrated on a top surface of the cradle, wherein the table is configured to move a subject to be imaged disposed on the RF receiving coil array assembly into and out of the bore of the MRI scanner, and wherein the posterior RF receiving coil array assembly comprises a plurality of sections, each section of the plurality of sections includes an RF coil including a plurality of loops, and at least one section of the plurality of sections is configured to be manipulated into a bent position and to remain in the bent position without extraneous support.

Various methods and systems are provided for a table support for a mobile imaging system. In one example, a table support for a mobile imaging system includes a fixture comprising a frame and a plurality of posts coupled to the frame, a table interface comprising a set of table flanges configured to be attached to a patient table of the mobile imaging system and a set of complementary table flange acceptors coupled to a top surface of the frame of the fixture, and a floor interface including a set of floor brackets removably coupleable to a set of floor panels configured to be attached to a floor of a unit configured to house the mobile imaging system, each floor bracket coupled to two respective posts of the plurality of posts.
