The present disclosure presents a method and apparatus for processing an authentication request message in a social network. In order to resolve the problems of the inefficiency in confirming request to establish social relationship by a user and inadequacy of parameter provided for authentication under existing technologies, the present disclosure provides a method. The method includes: receiving, by a social network server, the authentication request message sent by a first client to a second client to establish a social relationship with the second client; determining, by the social network server, a relationship chain information indicative of an indirect social network relationship between the first client and the second client; and forwarding, by the social network server, the authentication request message and the obtained relationship chain information to the second client, the relationship chain information being used by the second client to authenticate the authentication request message.

Method and apparatus for processing authentication request message in a social network

A method and system for HTTP request service identify a true URL content regardless of whether the target URL is redirected, and send the true URL content to a client. The requesting and sending of the redirected URL content is done internally in the HTTP server system and do not require the client to have the ability to receive and execute a URL redirection command. The server system receives a URL request from the client and generates within the server a response to the URL request. If the response does not contain any redirection information, the true URL content includes the target URL content; and if the response contains redirection information indicating a redirected URL, the true URL content includes a redirected URL content associated with the redirected URL. The client receives the true URL content in either case by submitting a request for the target URL once.

The present disclosure describes a method and an apparatus for sending an authentication request message in a social network. In order to resolve the problem that there are few parameters to be relied on when a user authenticates a request seeking to establish a social network relationship with the user, the method disclosed by the present disclosure includes: a social network server that, after obtaining an authentication request message sent by a first client to a second client to request to establish a social network relationship, modifies the first client's identification information in the first authentication request message to a third client's identification information to obtain a second authentication request message. The third client has a social network relationship with the first client and also has a direct social network relationship with the second client. The second authentication request message is sent to the second client. As the third client's identification information is used as identification information of a sending party in the second authentication request message that is sent to the second client, there will be more parameters for use when the second client verifies the request to establish the social network relationship.

Method and apparatus for sending authentication request message in a social network

A method and an apparatus for processing an authentication request message in a social network are provided. To improve the inefficiency of existing technology in processing user authentication and request to establish social relationship as well as inadequacy of parameters available for said authentication, the disclosed method includes a social network server detecting an authentication request message sent by a first client to a second client requesting to establish a social relationship with the second client. The social network server obtains information social attributes that are common to the first client and the second client, forwards the authentication request message, and sends the obtained information of common social attributes to the second client. The social attribute information is used by the second client to decide whether or not to authenticate the authentication request message.

The present disclosure discloses a method for managing user information in an instant messaging system in order to address the problems of increasing system workload, increasing network overhead and deteriorated system performance in existing technologies due to frequent access of user information management server or servers when user information is searched. According to a disclosed method, an access server obtains and stores information of contacts of a logged-in user; the access server notifies user information of the logged-in user to other access servers; the access servers that receive the notification store the user information of the logged-in user upon determining that contact(s) is/are found locally therein; and when the access server needs to obtain the information of the contacts of the user, the access server performs a search either locally or in other access servers. Furthermore, a communication system is also provided. The disclosed method and system are believed to result in greatly reduced frequency of searching user information in the user information management servers, reduced workload of the user information management servers, improved performance of searching user information and reduced network overhead of the system.

Method and system for managing user information in instant messaging systems

Methods and systems for instant messaging using a browser to eliminate the requirement of installation of instant messaging software at the user end is described. When a source user sends an instant message to a target user, the source server (the server which the source user is logged in) searches the information of the target server (the server which the target user is currently logged in) with the help of an instant messaging status server, and sends the instant message to the target server according to the search result. The target server then relays the instant message to the target user. The target server may also send a reply message to the source server, which in turn transmits the reply message to the source user. Preferably, at least one of users uses a browser and not an instant messaging client software.
