Systems and methods to support Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) multi-Transmission/Reception Point (TRP) scheduling are provided. In some embodiments, the wireless device performs one or more of: obtaining a configuration for Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI) states for Uplink (UL) PUSCH scheduling; activating/deactivating a subset of configured TCI states). If two TCI states are indicated, the wireless device transmits two different PUSCHs each corresponding to one of the indicated TCI states. If one TCI state is indicated, the wireless device transmits a single PUSCH corresponding to the indicated TCI state. The wireless device maps indicated TCI states to the transmission occasions or actual repetitions is preconfigured via higher layer parameter(s) or is given by a predefined rule. The wireless device applies a Transmitted Precoding Matrix Indicator (TPMI) to transmission occasions or actual repetitions associated with each indicated TCI state based on a signaled value and/or a predefined value.

PUSCH multiple TRP reliability with UL TCI indication

Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) resource allocation with multiple TRPs is provided. Embodiments described herein provide details to facilitate multi-Transmission/Reception Point (TRP) transmission on the PUSCH with respect to User Equipment (UE) implementation and application scenarios. A gap between consecutive PUSCH transmission instances toward different TRPs (e.g., transmission associated with different spatial transmission filters) can be signaled, either semi-statically or dynamically. In case of dynamic signaling, the gap may be configured in a Time Domain Resource Allocation (TDRA) table and indicated in Downlink Control Information (DCI). In case of semi-static signaling, it may be done by Radio Resource Control (RRC).

PUSCH resource allocation with multiple TRPs

Systems and methods of the present disclosure are directed to a method performed by a wireless communication device. The method includes receiving, from a network node, information that configures the wireless communication device for a Configured Grant (CG) based Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) transmission with PUSCH repetitions towards two or more transmissions/reception points (TRPs). The method includes performing the CG based PUSCH transmission with PUSCH repetitions towards the multiple TRPs in accordance with the received information.

Configured grant based PUSCH transmission to multiple TRPs

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for improving the reliability of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmission and reception. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device for reception of PDCCH repetitions over multiple control resource sets (CORESETs) in a cellular communications system comprises receiving a configuration of a first CORESET and a second CORESET. The method further comprises receiving, from one or more network nodes, a first repetition of a PDCCH carrying downlink control information (DCI) in the first CORESET and a second repetition of the PDCCH carrying the same DCI in the second CORESET, wherein the first and second repetitions of the PDCCH have either: (a) different channel encoding or (b) a same channel encoding. The method further comprises decoding the DCI based on the first repetition of the PDCCH and/or the second repetition of the PDCCH.

PDCCH reliability enhancements with multiple TRPs

Systems and methods for implicitly activating one or more Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI) states are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless communication device for implicit TCI state activation includes sending a measurement report for one or more reference signals to a base station. The one or more reference signals are related to one or more TCI states, respectively. The method further includes activating at least one TCI state from among the one or more TCI states that are related to the one or more reference signals. In this way, the TCI state selection may be expedited and simplified because additional Medium Access Control (MAC) Control Element (CE) activation message may be avoided.

A method, system and apparatus are disclosed. According to one aspect of the disclosure, a network node configured to communicate with a wireless device is provided. The network node includes processing circuitry configured to: cause a first physical downlink control channel, PDCCH, transmission starting at a first symbol and cause a second PDCCH transmission starting at a second symbol where the first PDCCH transmission is configured to schedule a first physical uplink shared channel, PUSCH, transmission ending at a third symbol for a transport block and the second PDCCH transmission configured to schedule a second PUSCH transmission starting at a fourth symbol for the transport block, where the second symbol occurs before the third symbol, the third symbol occurs later in time than the first symbol and the fourth symbol occurs later in time than that second symbol.

Multi-transmission and reception point (TRP) redundancy and soft combining with reduced latency

A system and method for providing time domain allocations in a communication system. In an embodiment, an apparatus operable in a communication system and including processing circuitry is configured to receive an indication of a time domain allocation in downlink control information associated with a radio network temporary identifier ('RNTI') identifying the apparatus, and employ the time domain allocation associated with the RNTI for transmissions associated with the apparatus. In another embodiment, an apparatus operable in a communication system and including processing circuitry is configured to associate a time domain allocation with a RNTI identifying a user equipment, and provide an indication of the time domain allocation in downlink control information to allow the user equipment to employ the time domain allocation associated with the RNTI for transmissions associated therewith.

A method, system and apparatus are disclosed for priority indication. In one embodiment, a wireless device is configured to receive a priority indicator associated with a downlink control information, DCI, message, the DCI message being associated with one of an uplink-configured grant, UL-CG, configuration and a downlink-semipersistent assignment, DL-SPS, configuration; and determine a use of the priority indicator associated with the DCI message. In another embodiment, a network node is configured to determine a use of a priority indicator associated with a downlink control information, DCI, message; and send the priority indicator associated with the DCI message according to the determined use, the DCI message being associated with one of an uplink-configured grant, UL-CG, configuration and a downlink-semipersistent assignment, DL-SPS, configuration.

A method performed by a wireless device for determining a start symbol of a plurality of PDSCH transmission occasions using a relative reference symbol includes: receiving an indication that includes indications: that enable/disable the use of the relative reference symbol; the offset between the last symbol of a first PDSCH and the first symbol of a second PDSCH; that there are multiple PDSCH transmission occasions; and that a symbol of the first transmission occasion and length corresponding to all transmission occasions; and determining the symbol at which each of the plurality of PDSCH transmission occasions end which will be used to determine the start symbol of the next PDSCH transmission occasion. In this way, the wireless device behavior is defined on how many PDSCH repetitions the wireless device can receive when the use of the new relative reference for the starting symbol of the first PDSCH repetition is enabled.

Systems and methods of signaling time domain resource allocation for PDSCH transmission

A method and apparatus are disclosed for handling DCI size alignment. In one embodiment, a network node is configured to perform a downlink control information, DCI, size alignment procedure based at least in part on a limit of a total number of different DCI sizes that a wireless device, WD, is configured to monitor. The network node is further configured to transmit a DCI message, the DCI message generated according to the DCI alignment procedure. In one embodiment, a WD is configured to monitor a cell for a downlink control information, DCI, message. The WD is further configured to receive and/or decode the DCI message, the DCI message being generated according to a DCI alignment procedure in which a size of the DCI is based at least in part on a limit of a total number of different DCI sizes that the WD is configured to monitor.

In one embodiment, there proposes a method in a wireless communication device for Random Access (RA), comprising: transmitting a preamble on Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH); receiving a Random Access Response (RAR) message; transmitting, on Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH), a message for terminal identification (Msg3), wherein the time resource allocation of Msg3 is different than the time resource allocation of other message to be transmitted on the PUSCH (normal PUSCH). The embodiments herein can support flexible time resource allocation configuration for Msg3, and at the same time, the signaling overhead in RAR/DCI for indicating the time resource allocation of PUSCH carrying Msg3 can be reduced.
