In the solution, a D2D SPS available period in which a first terminal is capable of using a D2D SPS resource is greater than one SC period. Therefore, in the D2D SPS available period, the first terminal needs to determine the D2D SPS resource only one time, and a second terminal also needs to decode SCI only one time to determine the D2D SPS resource. In this way, the first terminal does not need to determine a D2D SPS resource in each SC period, and the second terminal also does not need to decode SCI in each SC period to determine the D2D SPS resource. Therefore, D2D communication efficiency is improved.

Relay reporting in a wireless network is implemented by efficiently allocating radio resources based on the nature or criticality of the type of relay report. According to an embodiment, a method of communicating with a relay located in a wireless network includes instructing the relay when to transmit reports based on a mapping of different categories of relay reports to one or more different reporting schemes. Reports are received from the relay based on the relay report category and the corresponding reporting scheme. According to another embodiment, a method of reporting information from a relay to a network node of a wireless network includes generating different categories of reports at the relay for transmission to the network node. A reporting scheme associated with each report category is identified and each report is transmitted to the network node in accordance with the reporting scheme identified for the corresponding report category.

The embodiments disclose a method and base station for relay deployment in a Time Division Duplex (TDD) communication network. The method comprises configuring a first base station to operate as a donor base station, and configuring a second base station to operate as a relay node, wherein a first sector of the second base station is configured as a User Equipment (UE) part of the relay node and a second sector of the second base station is configured as a base station part of the relay node. The invention relates to Coordinated Scheduling for a Time Division Duplex (TDD) network. In a method for User Equipment (UE) scheduling by a base station in a TDD network, the base station receives scheduling decision from at least one neighboring cell of the base station, and schedules a UE among a plurality of UEs in the serving cell of the base station based on the scheduling decision from the at least one neighboring cell and based on smart antenna information. The inter-cell interference is suppressed and therefore the network performance is improved.

The embodiments of the present invention relate to methods and apparatuses () for coordinating interference in a telecommunications LTE based system. According to exemplary embodiments, an apparatus acting as a macro radio base station (eNB) () is configured to decide on what radio resources to schedule to its UEs and further decide on what resources to leave unutilized.
