In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE receives, at a time point, DCI scheduling two or more downlink data channels. The UE receives, within a threshold processing time from the time point, a first control signal in a first CORESET according to a first TCI state. The threshold processing time is allocated for the UE to decode the downlink control information. The UE receives, subsequent to the first CORESET, data according to the first TCI state (a) until an end of the threshold processing time when a second CORESET in which the UE is configured to receive a second control signal does not exist in the threshold processing time or (b) until the second CORESET when the second CORESET exists in the threshold processing time.

Default beam assumption for multi-PDSCH scheduling

Various solutions for tiered channel information feedback with respect to user equipment and network apparatus in mobile communications are described. An apparatus may determine a first tier channel state information (CSI) based on a first reference signal resource measurement. The apparatus may report the first tier CSI to a network node. The apparatus may determine a second tier CSI based on the first tier CSI and based on a second reference signal resource measurement. The apparatus may report the second tier CSI to the network node. The second tier CSI may be different from the first tier CSI.

Method and apparatus for tiered channel state information feedback in mobile communications

Method and UE are provided for determining precoder of MIMO system. In particular, a BS can transmit at least one CSI-RS to the UE. The UE can receive the at least one CSI-RS, and estimate at least one covariance matrix of at least one downlink channel matrix according to the at least one CSI-RS at different times and frequencies. Then, the UE can transmit the at least one covariance matrix or at least one parameter associated with the least one covariance matrix to the BS for the BS to reconstruct at least one covariance matrix, and determine a precoder according to the at least one reconstructed covariance matrix.

Method and user equipment for determining precoder of MIMO system

A user equipment (UE) with N transmit (Tx) antenna elements in a wireless network receives precoding information from a base station. The UE constructs a full-rank complex Hadamard matrix (CHM) of order N using the precoding information. The UE then precodes uplink signal using a precoding matrix composed of one or more columns of the full-rank CHM, and transmits the precoded uplink signal to the base station.

High spatial resolution MIMO precoding for uplink communication

A method of downlink channel state information (DL CSI) measurement and reporting is proposed in FR1 frequency division duplex (FDD) systems. CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) is directed towards dominant spatial domain (SD, beam) and frequency domain (FD, delay) components in the propagation environment. By partial channel reciprocity, angles and delays in the DL channel can be obtained by UL channel measurement. UE only needs to measure and feedback the DL CSI corresponding to the dominant angles and delays. BS obtains the precoder in the antenna-frequency domain using the CSI feedback in the beam-delay domain. BS uses the precoder for transmission over Physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). In one embodiment, UE reconstructs the DL channel on a multitude of delays using the DL channel estimated on a few beamformed CSI-RS and delay tap indices signaled from the network.

Method for FR1 FDD channel state information

Techniques pertaining to channeling state information (CSI) pre-processing are described. A user equipment (UE) that is in wireless communication with a base station node extracts eigenvectors (EVs) from CSI acquired by the UE. The UE generates pre-processed CSI for compression by a machine-learning (ML)-based encoder of the UE into CSI feedback for the base station node by at least performing one or more of a phase discontinuity compensation (PDC), a one-step polarization separation with re-ordering, or a two-step polarization separation that includes separation based on polarization type and separation by position on the EVs.

Techniques for channel state information (CSI) pre-processing

The scheduling flexibility of CSI reference signals enables time and frequency synchronization using multiple non-zero CSI-RSs transmitted in the same subframe, or using CSI-RSs transmitted in the same subframe with other synchronization signals. Also, multiple synchronization signals may be scheduled in the same subframe to enable fine time and frequency synchronization without cell-specific reference signals.

A method of downlink channel state information (DL CSI) computation and reporting is proposed to support high velocity in new radio (NR) systems. In a first novel aspect, two CSI reference slots are defined. CSI reference slot for CSI measurement is defined for determining which CSI-RS/SSB occasion(s) is used for computing CSI. CSI reference slot for CSI computation is defined for determining the slot where UE assumes the CSI computation should be based upon the channel at that time onwards. In a second novel aspect, UE can be configured with a CSI computation period consisting of one or N slots and can be divided into multiple sub-periods without overlap. UE can be configured to compute and report wideband CSI and subband CSI for the whole CSI computation period and/or for each sub-period.

In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE receives a first indication that downlink control information in a control channel schedules C downlink data channels on a component carrier. C is an integer greater than 0. The UE receives a second indication that acknowledgments of the C downlink data channels are transmitted according to N transport block (TB) groups. N is an integer greater than 0. The UE allocates the C downlink data channels to the N TB groups and transmitting N respective acknowledgments corresponding to the N TB groups based on a relation between C and N.

PDSCH grouping transmission and associated HARQ-ACK codebook construction for multi-PDSCH scheduling

A partial sounding method for sounding-reference-signal (SRS) is proposed. The network node may transmit higher-layer signal configuring a fractional SRS resource for partial sounding in configured resource blocks (RBs) to user equipment (UE). The UE may determine an SRS sequence length and a frequency-domain starting position of the fractional SRS resource based on the higher-layer signal to increase the SRS capacity.

The UE allocates a slot group including a number of consecutive slots based on an operating subcarrier spacing. The UE receives a configuration allocating blind detections over non-overlapping CCEs in the slot group among a group of component carriers of the UE using the operating subcarrier spacing. The UE performs, in the slot group, a next set of blind detections over a next set of non-overlapping CCEs on a given component carrier of the group of component carriers in accordance with the configuration, when (a) a total number of blind detections that would have been performed in the slot group by the UE does not exceed a limit of total blind detections and (b) a total number of non-overlapping CCEs that would have been monitored in the slot group by the UE does not exceed a limit of total non-overlapping CCEs.

Multi-slot PDCCH monitoring framework

Examples pertaining to a floating frame-based channel occupancy time (COT) in a fixed frame period (FFP) in mobile communications are described. An apparatus implemented in FBE performs clear channel assessment (CCA) of a channel. The apparatus then transmits during a COT within a FFP in response to the CCA indicating the channel to be clear for transmission.

The UE detects one or more signals transmitted from a base station in a first unit of a set of units contained in a bandwidth part of an unlicensed carrier, the first unit having contiguous frequency resources. The one or more signals indicating that the base station has occupied the first unit for a first time duration and indicating a schedule of a set of slots in the first time duration for communication with the base station. The UE receives, in a first time slot of the set of slots and from the base station, a control channel.
