The present disclosure relates to an access point, a method, a medium, and a computer program product for the access point. An access point is configured to perform at least the following processing: in response to an association request received from a user station, checking a first access control list set by a user to determine whether the user station is set by the user as a user station that is to be refused access to the access point; in response to determination that the user station is set by the user as a user station that is to be refused access to the access point, determining whether a push button configuration mode of a wireless protection setup of the access point is activated and verifying whether the association request is related to the push button configuration mode; and in response to determination that the push button configuration mode of the access point is activated and the association request of the user station is related to the push button configuration mode, sending an association response to the user station to complete a network configuration process of the user station.

An electronic device for processing real-time-streaming-protocol (RTSP) packets in a network to provide enhanced video-on-demand (VOD) services is provided. The electronic device includes a user interface, a non-transitory memory configured to store instructions including an application layer gateway (ALG) module and network service software, and a hardware processor. The hardware processor is configured to execute the instructions to store a list of mac-bridge clients that includes a MAC address and a MAC mask corresponding to each mac-bridge client, and determine whether at least one of the source and destination MAC address of a received RTSP packet is on the list. When at least one of the source and destination MAC address is on the list, the RTSP packet is processed using the network service software and a next RTSP packet is received; otherwise, the received RTSP packet is processed using the ALG module.

A method for control of a soft generic routing encapsulation (GRE) tunnel based on client activity includes: receiving a data packet from a first external; storing an identifier associated with the first external device in a client table and a corresponding timestamp associated with receipt of the data packet; creating a soft GRE tunnel between a local interface of the computing device and a remote gateway; updating the client table, wherein updating the client table includes adding a new identifier and corresponding timestamp associated with additional external devices upon receipt of respective data packets, and updating the timestamp corresponding to the respective identifier upon receipt of an additional packet from an additional external device; and halting a GRE health-check process associated with the soft GRE tunnel once a predetermined period of time has elapsed since the timestamp corresponding to each identifier stored in the client table.
