A facility for processing an event of a distributed processing environment is provided. The facility includes separating a plurality of processing flows into a plurality of flow groups, each flow group having a respective identifier. The identifier of each flow group is then associated with a respective topic. Based on the occurrence of an event, a message having a topic based on the event is published along with the identifier of the flow group associated with the topic. A processing flow of the flow group having the identifier of the message may then be used to process the event.

During development of an application, an association between a view of the application and a data service, and rules applicable to the view, can be received. The rules can include an indication of a security role assigned to users who are allowed to access the view and an indication of whether the view is allowed to access the data service based on the security role assigned to the user. Based on the rules applicable to the view, permissions for accessing the data service by the view can be automatically extrapolated. Based on the permissions extrapolated for accessing the data service by the view, a binding credential, configured to be processed to determine whether the view of the application is granted access to data provided by the data service at runtime, can be automatically created. The computer processor monitors a plurality of data sources and determines at least one of the plurality of data sources includes the first content and a second content. Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for a smart cache for server testing in an application development tool. In an embodiment of the invention, method of smart caching of service data during application testing in a development tool for a service invoking application is provided. The method includes loading source code for a computer program into a development tool executing in memory of a computing system. The method further includes executing the source code from the development tool. In this regard, the execution of the source code invokes a service responsive to a directive to invoke the service disposed in the source code. Finally, the method includes invoking the service in a container instance in response to a first invocation of the service from the computer program. However, a data set for the service is located in a cache and returned the data set to the computer program in lieu of invoking the service in the container instance for all other invocations of the service.

Smart cache for a server test environment in an application development tool

A computer implemented method, an apparatus, and a computer usable program product are provided for configuring and modeling server connection and deployment information in an enterprise tooling environment. A software model is provided that comprises a connections object, which includes a plurality of connection objects and deploy spec objects. Each of the connection objects is specific to a backend server type. A deploy controller is provided at run time to examine the connections object for a connection object. A backend resource manager is loaded for a specific application server. If a connection object is present, the backend resource manager loads a connection interpreter, which transforms development time connection information in the connection object to the run time connection information in corresponding deploy spec object and connection factory spec object. The backend resource manager then writes the deployment information to the configurations files of the application server.

Method and apparatus for configuring and modeling server information in an enterprise tooling environment

A method, apparatus and computer-readable medium for assembling objects in an IDE is presented. The method includes the steps of creating a pre-drop assembly area in an Integrated Development Environment (IDE); combining multiple component descriptors in the pre-drop assembly area, wherein the multiple component descriptors are interpreted through an extensible language mechanism that contains a plurality of extensible solutions; and upon a determination that combined multiple component descriptors have met a pre-defined condition, committing the combined multiple component descriptors to execution. In one embodiment, only one solution from the plurality of extensible solutions is used to interpret the multiple component descriptors, wherein the one solution is selected according to a user role of a user who is utilizing the IDE. The multiple component descriptors may be combined in the pre-drop assembly area by dragging the multiple component descriptors individually and sequentially to the pre-drop assembly area.

A web page is rendered under the control of a client. A content server divides a webpage in multiple empty partitions. Each of the partitions has an associated pointer to data that can populate the partition. When data changes, the content server transmits pointers for all data for all of the partitions, including new pointers to new changed data. If an old pointer to old data is the same as a new pointer to the new data, the client ignores the new pointer. If the new pointer and the old pointer are different, then the client uses the new pointer to obtain the new data for that particular partition.
