The present disclosure relates to the field of livestock farming, and specifically provides a feeding method for gilts in batch for promoting onset of puberty and alleviating estrus disorder of gilts, which is aiming at an industrial problem that a large number of gilts are culled due to delayed puberty onset or estrus disorder. The method includes: feeding, prior to onset of puberty for gilts with vitamin A combined with lactic acid; and performing, subsequent to the puberty onset of gilts, estrus synchronization treatment and insemination treatment on the gilts. By applying vitamin A combined with lactic acid, the present disclosure alleviates the delayed puberty onset or estrus disorder of the gilts, reduces the feeding duration and feeding cost of the gilts, facilitates synchronous estrus treatment of the gilts.

Methods of administering vitamin A and lactic acid to gilts

The disclosure relates to the field of biology and provides a breeding method for ameliorating or avoiding the adverse effects of exogenous gonadotropins on reproductive performance, which comprises administrating N-acetylcysteine and vitamin A prior to the exogenous gonadotropin treatment. The disclosure can effectively improve the reproductive performance, including improving the uterine receptivity and pregnancy outcome after exogenous gonadotropins treatment, such as embryo implantation rate, the status of embryo development after implantation, pregnancy rate, live birth, health condition of born offspring, and other effects, by using a combination of N-acetylcysteine and vitamin A. Moreover, the combination of N-acetylcysteine and vitamin A has synergistic effect and has a wide application prospect, for example, in animal husbandry to realize the reproduction regulation and control management of animals including domestic animals such as pigs, horses, cattle, and the like and realize batch production, as well as in the field of assisted reproduction, with high application value.

Method for ameliorating or avoiding the adverse effects of exogenous gonadotropins on reproductive performance

Methods are provided for in vitro maturation (IVM) of bovine oocytes that include steps of (a) pre-culturing bovine germinal vesicle (GV) oocytes in the presence of C-type natriuretic peptide (CNP) and (b) subsequently culturing the oocytes of (a) for an extended duration in medium containing follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), 17&#x3b2;-estradiol (E2), epidermal growth factor (EGF), and fetal bovine serum (FBS).

Method for in vitro oocyte maturation

The present invention provides a method for inducing twin calving. The method according to the present invention comprises firstly treatment to inducing atresia of the antral follicles on ovary so as to initiate the development of new follicular wave, inducing the development of codominant follicles and further achieving double ovulations by exactly controlling the dosage and time points of hormone injections, and performing artificial insemination to induce the cow to deliver twin calves. The method according to the present invention has relative independent on the technical skills, and a person skilled in the art or a common worker can practice it according to specified operation methods; and during practical application, it does not require special equipment, thus saving cost, as well as improving the social benefit and economic benefit of cow breeding.
