An electric vehicle includes an electric drive component; a lithium titanate oxide battery pack comprising LTO battery cells; and a range extender. The range extender has a first state to deliver power to the electric drive component, a second state to charge the LTO battery pack, a third state to deliver power to the electric drive component and charge the LTO battery pack, and a fourth state in which it does not deliver power outward. The electric drive component has a first state to receive power delivered from the LTO battery pack, a second state to receive power delivered from the range extender, a third state to receiver power delivered from the LTO battery pack and the range extender, a fourth state to recover braking energy to charge the LTO battery pack, and a fifth state in which it does not receive power and does not recover the braking energy.

The invention relates to a material of porous graphene nanowires with a pore-rich structure, production methods and applications of the material of porous graphene nanowires. The method includes: synthesis of catalyst nanowires for porous graphene nanowires, chemical vapor deposition of a carbon source on the catalysts to grow graphene, removal of residual catalyst, and formation of the porous graphene nanowires. Process for producing hydrogen where multiple streams are heated in parallel with reformate that has passed from the shift reactor. Each of the multiple streams are heated from a temperature below the dew point of the reformate to a temperature above the dew point of the reformate by reformate that is cooled from a temperature above the dew point of the reformate to a temperature below the dew point of the reformate. The multiple streams can include two or more of water condensate, boiler feed water, hydrocarbon feedstock, and pressure swing adsorption unit by-product gas.

Pressure swing adsorption process

A process for separating a primary gas component from a feed gas mixture comprising the primary gas component and secondary gas components in four or more adsorption beds. The process comprises subjecting each of the four or more adsorption beds to a repetitive cycle. The repetitive cycle comprises, in sequence, a feed step, a pressure decreasing equalization step, a provide purge step, a blowdown step, a purge step, a pressure increasing equalization step, and a repressurization step. During the pressure decreasing equalization step, rinse gas is co-currently introduced simultaneous with the withdrawal of pressure equalization gas. Rinse gas is formed by compressing blowdown gas and/or purge gas effluent from the adsorption bed undergoing the purge step. The process is particularly suited for separating Hfrom a reformate stream.

A hydrogen production process wherein steam and a hydrocarbon feed is reacted in a prereformer, the prereformed intermediate is further reacted in an oxygen-based reformer, the reformate is shifted and then separated by a pressure swing adsorber to form a Hproduct stream and a tail gas, a first portion of the tail gas is recycled to the prereformer and/or the oxygen-based reformer, and a second portion of the tail gas is recycled to the pressure swing adsorber.

Adsorption process

A system and method for recovering helium-3 from helium. A distillation column having a top section that is smaller in diameter than a main section is provided. The column also includes an intermediate condenser that condenses vapor from the main section and above a helium feed stream. Reflux to the column can be provided by liquid helium-3 from a conduit or from an overhead condenser. In a preferred cycle, the distillation column is operated at a subatmospheric pressure, and in a temperature range between 2.3 K and 4.3 K.

He-3 recovery from natural helium by distillation

A method and system for generating power in a vaporization of liquid natural gas process, the method comprising pressurizing a working fluid; heating and vaporizing the working fluid; expanding the working fluid in one or more expanders for the generation of power, the working fluid comprises: 2-11 mol % nitrogen, methane, a third component whose boiling point is greater than or equal to that of propane, and a fourth component comprising ethane or ethylene; cooling the working fluid such that the working fluid is at least substantially condensed; and recycling the working fluid, wherein the cooling of the working fluid occurs through indirect heat exchange with a pressurized liquefied natural gas stream in a heat exchanger, and wherein the flow rate of the working fluid at an inlet of the heat exchanger is equal to the flow rate of the working fluid at an outlet of the heat exchanger.
