One computer-implemented method includes obtaining a first image, where the first image is an image of an identification (ID) document captured when the ID document is tilted at a first angle relative to a projected light source. A second image is obtained, where the second image is an image of the ID document captured when the ID document is tilted at a second angle relative to the projected light source. The ID document is authenticated based on identification of a first illuminated region and a second illuminated region, where the first illuminated region is associated with the first image and the second illuminated region is associated with the second image, and a comparison between a first position of the first illuminated region and a second position of the second illuminated region.

Authentication method and system

Disclosed are computer-implemented methods, non-transitory computer-readable media, and systems for document identification. One computer-implemented method includes extracting a sequence of image frames from a video clip capturing an impact of an object against a surface. A stream of audio signals is extracted from the video clip. Using a trained document identification model, a first score and a second score is generated based on the sequence of image frames and the stream of audio signals, respectively. The trained document identification model is trained with a plurality of historical video clips, where each video clip captures an impact of a document against a surface. An identification score is generated based on the first score and the second score. Whether the object in the video clip is a document is determined based on a comparison between the identification score and an identification threshold.

Document identification method and system

Disclosed are computer-implemented methods, non-transitory computer-readable media, and systems for detecting identity document photograph replacement. One computer-implemented method includes receiving image data of a cropped photograph region of an identity document (ID), where the ID comprises a photograph, and where the cropped photograph region comprises at least the photograph. Using a multiclass classification model and as a predicted ID category, an ID category is predicted based on the image data of the cropped photograph region, where the predicted ID category corresponds to a predefined class of a set of predefined classes in the multiclass classification model. The predicted ID category is compared with an indicated category of the ID. In response to a calculated mismatch between the predicted ID category and the indicated category of the ID, a determination is made that the cropped photograph region includes a replaced photograph.

Methods and systems for detecting photograph replacement in a photo identity document

Disclosed are computer-implemented methods, non-transitory computer-readable media, and systems for image processing. One computer-implemented method includes determining a rotated angle of an identification (ID) document image, where the rotated angle corresponds to an angle between a bottom edge of the ID document image and an x-axis. The ID document image is rotated based on the rotated angle, where an angle is defined between the bottom edge of the rotated ID document image and the x-axis, and where a value of the angle is within a predefined range. Image regression is performed on the rotated ID document image to obtain coordinates of four corner points of the rotated ID document image. Image alignment is performed on the rotated ID document image based on the coordinates of four corner points of the rotated ID document image.

One computer-implemented method includes generating a predicted bounding box representing an object based on the object detection model, where the object is positioned proximate to one or more adjacent objects. A modified area of union is determined between the predicted bounding box and the groundtruth bounding box of the object. A score equal to the area of intersection between the predicted bounding box and the groundtruth bounding box of the object divided by the modified area of union is determined, where the score represents the performance of the object detection model.
