A computer-implemented method, system, and computer program product for adapting scripts from a source platform to be utilized in a target platform when porting. Traces of system calls from the commands in the source and target platforms are analyzed to identify building blocks. A tree structure for each command of the source and target platforms is constructed with one or more building blocks from the identified building blocks. Commands of the target platform with a functionality within a threshold degree of similarity to the commands of the source platform are identified by analyzing the building blocks of the commands' tree structures. Alternative commands for the commands of the source platform, such as those commands that are not supported by the target platform, may be generated using such identified commands. The script from the source platform may then be adapted to be utilized in the target platform using such alternative commands.

Adapting scripts from a source platform to be utilized in a target platform

Examples described herein provide a computer-implemented method for identifying regression test failures that includes comparing a base code to a new code to locate an updated aspect of a program. The method further includes inserting debug code into corresponding source files for each of the base code and the new code for the updated aspect. The method further includes building a first image for the base code and a second image for the new code, the first and second images running in respective first and second containers. The method further includes comparing debugging outputs from a regression test of the respective first and second containers to identify a regression test failure. The method further includes implementing a corrective action to correct the regression test failure.

Identifying regression test failures

A computer-implemented method, computer program product and computer system to automatically perform file management operations is provided. A processor identifies a plurality of files to monitor. A processor generates tracking attributes for the plurality of files. A processor monitors user interactions with the plurality of files. A processor generates prediction vectors for a plurality of file interactions based on the user interactions with the plurality of files. A processor determines at least one file in the plurality of files with tracking attributes that correlate with at least one prediction vector. A processor performs an operation on the at least one file that corresponds with the at least one prediction vector.

Prediction of file interaction by a user

Aspects of the invention include systems and methods configured to efficiently evaluate the efforts of a code migration (e.g., porting task) between different platforms. A non-limiting example computer-implemented method includes receiving a function of a source platform. The function can include a plurality of fields. An initial vector is constructed for each of the plurality of fields. The initial vector encodes a value of the respective field according to an encoding rule. The initial vectors are merged into a single final vector and the final vector is classified into one of a plurality of system function families of the source platform. A vector of a target platform at a minimum distance to the final vector is identified and an assessment is provided that includes a difficulty in porting a project comprising the function between the source platform and the target platform based at least in part on the minimum distance.

Fast porting of projects

Aspects include generating a matrix based on a first sample of source code. Each cell in the matrix can correspond to a unique element in the source code. Each unique element can be encoded to a predetermined value according to an encoding rule. A first waveform is generated by combining a left-side curve and a right-side curve. The left-side curve encodes a first position of non-zero cells in each row of the matrix and the right-side curve encodes a last position of non-zero cells in each row of the matrix. A second sample of source code is identified that matches the first sample of source code based on a comparison of the first waveform to a second waveform constructed from the second sample of source code.

Shape-based code comparisons

Methods of code conversion are provided. Aspects include obtaining a first code point from a source data string in a first character encoding, wherein the source data string is to be converted to a target data string in a second character encoding. A target code point corresponding to the first code point is looked up in a map table, wherein the target code point is in the second character encoding. It is determined whether the first code point is a first combining character in response to receiving a lookup failure generated from the looking up operation. A combination unit having the first combining character and a base character next to the first combining character in the source data string is identified in response to determining that the first code point is the first combining character. The combination unit is converted to a substitute character in the target data string.

Code conversion

A method, computer program product, and system is disclosed for generating an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system tree. A plurality of IVR system options from the IVR system are received. A first set of selections of the IVR system options are received from the user. A second set of selections of the IVR system are received, comprising at least a second set of subtrees. In response to identifying a plurality of subtrees of the second set of subtrees that are associated with the root node, the identified plurality of subtrees are mapped to the option tree. An IVR combination tree is generated. A visualization IVR combination tree is generated for display, in response to receiving a second user request for access to the IVR system. A target service associated with a user input selection of at least one end node of the visualized IVR combination tree is accessed.
