The embodiments provide a bandwidth scheduling method and an apparatus to resolve a problem in the prior art that a transmission delay is relatively large and user experience is relatively poor when a baseband unit and a radio remote unit are networked by using a passive optical network. The method includes: allocating, by a baseband unit, radio resources used for data transmission between N first radio frequency units and a terminal to the N first radio frequency units connected to the baseband unit, where N is an integer greater than 0; and then allocating, by the baseband unit based on the radio resources of the N first radio frequency units, bandwidth resources used for data transmission between the baseband unit and the N first radio frequency units to the N first radio frequency units.

The present invention is directed to provide a relay method in a wireless access system, including comprising the following steps: in downlink direction, receiving downlink data from a base station, wherein the downlink data include control information for relay operation; constructing downlink data to be retransmitted; retransmitting the constructed downlink data to wireless communication terminals according to a profile specified by the control information; and, in uplink direction, receiving uplink data from the wireless communication terminals according to a profile specified by the control information; recovering the uplink data of the wireless communication terminals; and retransmitting the uplink data to the base station according to the profile specified by the control information. The present invention further provides the corresponding base station device, relay device and wireless relay system. Through the present invention, the base station is able to perform centralized control of the entire mobile multi-hop relay system, which effectively reduces the complexity of the relay device and can realize a transparent transportation with respect to wireless communication terminals.

The present invention discloses a method and a base station for allocating bandwidth for subscriber stations and a backhaul station through taking into joint consideration uplink and down bandwidth requests from respective subscriber stations in a wireless single-hop self-backhaul network. Upon receipt of information on bandwidth requests from the subscriber stations, the base station takes uplink and downlink bandwidth requests into joint consideration, allocates bandwidth for the subscriber stations and the backhaul station, and then notifies the subscriber stations and the backhaul station. Since bandwidth allocation is no longer based on uplink and downlink resources separately, a relatively high system bandwidth utilization ratio can be achieved and uplink and downlink bandwidth fairness for asymmetric traffic be ensured even if the network is overloaded.
