The present invention provides a backlight module, which includes a backplane, a backlight source arranged inside the backplane, a light guide plate arranged inside the backplane to correspond to the backlight source, a reflector plate arranged between the light guide plate and the backplane, an optic film disposed on the light guide plate, a mold frame arranged on the backplane, and a block wall arranged between the light guide plate and the mold frame and opposing the backlight module. The block wall forms a slope face close to the backlight source. A reflective layer is formed on the slope face. Being provided between the mold frame and the light guide plate, the block wall reflects light that gets incident thereon back into the light guide plate in order to eliminate leak through a gap between an optic film assembly and the light guide plate.

Backlight module

A backlight module includes a light source, a waveguide, a reflector, and an optical film. The waveguide includes a light inlet surface facing the light source, a light emitting surface adjacent to the light inlet surface, and a bottom surface opposite to the light emitting surface. The reflector is disposed under the bottom surface of the waveguide. The optical film is disposed above the light emitting surface of the waveguide. The reflector is coated with a gradation color layer composed by yellow graduating to blue so as to ensure projection of light from the light source is homogeneous with reduced chromatic aberration.

The present invention relates to a backlight module and a corresponding liquid crystal display panel. The backlight module includes a backboard having multiple concave portions formed on an inner surface of the backboard and multiple light sources mounted in the concave portions. The backlight module and the corresponding liquid crystal display device of the present invention can reduce the thickness of direct-type backlight module without affecting the optical quality of the lights emitted from the backlight module and increasing the manufacturing cost of the backlight module.

A backlight module and a liquid crystal display are provided. The backlight module includes a first light-emitting unit and at least one second light-emitting unit. The first light-emitting unit is located outside of a light guide region between an optical film and a reflection plate, and the at least one second light-emitting unit is located within the light guide region. The at least one second light-emitting unit includes a curved reflection sheet. The curved reflection sheet faces the first light-emitting unit, and is used to reflect the lights being projected to the at least one second light-emitting unit unto the optical film.

The present invention provides a slim frame backlight module, which includes a backplane, a backlight source arranged inside the backplane, a side reflector plate arranged inside the backplane, and a light guide plate arranged inside the backplane. The light incident surface is set inwardly inclined with respect to the top surface, so that the light incident surface and the top surface form therebetween an included angle less than 90&#xb0;. Light emitting from the backlight source can be reflected by the side reflector plate to the light incident surface or is directly projected to the light incident surface to transmit through the light incident surface into the light guide plate.

Slim frame backlight module

The present invention provides a light guide plate and a manufacturing method thereof and a side-edge backlight module using the light guide plate. The light guide plate includes a plurality of reflective separation walls arranged therein. The reflective separation walls divide the light guide plate into a plurality of sections. The reflective separation walls have surfaces forming mirror surfaces. The light guide plate includes reflective separation walls respectively arranged between independent sections to have light traveling from an independent section toward the reflective separation wall reflected back into the independent section and thus confined within the independent section. Thus, brightness sectioning and independent control of sectionalized brightness of the light guide plate can be realized and improved light isolation result can be achieved. With such a method, manufacturing a light guide plate comprising reflective separation walls is easy, has improved yield rate, is mass producible, and is of low cost.

An LED light bar includes a PCB and a plurality of LED lamps mounted to and electrically connected with the PCB. Each of the LED lamps has a light emission face that is perpendicular to the PCB. The LED lamps at two opposite ends are arranged to have the light emission faces thereof angularly shifted in directions away from the light emission faces of the LED lamps in the middle to thereby increase light irradiation range of the LED light bar. With the LED lamps at two ends of the LED light bar being arranged to have light emission faces thereof angularly shifted so as to form a predetermined included angle between the light emission faces of the LED lamps and a light incidence face of the light guide plate, the irradiation range of light from the LED light bar is increased.

The present invention provides a side-edge backlight module, which includes a backplane, a light guide plate arranged inside the backplane, a backlight source arranged inside the backplane, and a photo coupler arranged between the light guide plate and the backlight source, whereby light emitting from the backlight source is subjected to light mixing by the photo coupler and then enters the light guide plate so as to improve homogeneity of light illumination of the light guide plate at a location close to a backlight source. The side-edge backlight module arranges a photo coupler between a light incidence surface of a light guide plate and LED lights of a backlight source in order to make lights emitting from the backlight source incident to the light guide plate in a uniform manner thereby providing the light guide plate with homogeneous light illumination.

The present invention provides a backlight module and a liquid crystal display apparatus. The backlight module comprises a light guide plate; a base disposed at one side of the light guide plate; a light source disposed on the base; and a reflective element configured to reflect light rays which are emitted from the light source to a light-incident surface of the light guide plate, wherein the reflective element includes a reflective curved surface and a first reflective plane connected thereto. The backlight module and the liquid crystal display apparatus of the present invention can have a high coupling efficiency.

The present invention relates to an LED light source and a corresponding backlight module. The LED light source includes a bar-shaped base and multiple LED assemblies. The LED assemblies each has an LED leadframe, a light-emitting chip, an anode bonding pad and a cathode bonding pad. The anode and cathode bonding pads are connected to the light-emitting chip and mounted on a bottom of the LED leadframe. By mounting the electrodes of the LED assembly on the bottom of the LED leadframe, the LED light source and the corresponding backlight module of the present invention prevents a technical problem that the electrodes of LED assemblies are easy to become short-circuited.

The backlight module includes a middle frame, a light guide panel, and a light source; the backlight module further includes a shielding structure which is used for preventing the light of the light source from being directly emitted from the gap between the middle frame and the light guide panel; the shielding structure includes a groove arranged in the middle frame, and a convex lug arranged on the light guide panel; the convex lug is arranged in the groove. Because of the existence of the shielding structure, the light cannot be directly emitted onto the optical film from the gap between the middle frame and the light guide panel; thus, the problem of light leakage is solved; therefore, the bright line and facula cannot be generated on the LCD panel, thereby improving the quality of the LCD device.

Disclosed are a static-free light guide plate and a backlight module. The static-free light guide plate comprises an incident plane, a bottom reflection plane, a side reflection plane and an out light plane. At least one layer of optical thin film material for increasing out light effect is positioned on the surface of the out light plane. The bottom reflection plane is positioned on the metal back plate. The static-free light guide plate further comprises interconnected conductive bands positioned at the side plane of the optical thin film material, non-incident portion of the incident plane, the bottom surface of the bottom reflection plane and the side reflection plane. With the conductive bands positioned at the side surface of the optical thin film material and connected to the metal back plate, the electrostatic generated on the light guide plate is transferred to achieve the purpose of protecting the electronic device, such as LEDs.

The present invention provides a direct backlight module including a backplane, backlight sources arranged inside the backplane, and a diffusion plate mounted to the backplane and located above the backlight sources. The backplane includes a bottom plate, side plates connected to the bottom plate, and mount units formed on the bottom plate and each having first and second slope surfaces that are inclined in opposite directions. The backlight sources are respectively mounted to the first and second slope surfaces, whereby the backlight sources are set inclined with respect to the diffusion plate in order to increase the distance available for light mixing, improve intensity and homogeneity of illumination, and at the same time reduce the quantity of LED lamps used to reduce the manufacture cost and facilitate size thinning of the backlight module.

Direct backlight module

The present invention discloses a light emitting diode (LED) light bar structure and a backlight module. The LED light bar structure is provided with a plurality of the light source sets. Each of the light source sets comprises a first LED and a second LED, and the chromaticity of the first LED and the chromaticity of the second LED are complementary. Hence, it is not necessary to consider with the others of the light source sets, so that it can achieve mixing a uniform white light, and the backlight module will not appear the phenomenon of 'Mura'. Besides, the material of the LED will not be wasted, and it is easy to control the identical chromaticity between the different backlight modules.
