A converter system includes a switch adapted to be coupled to an inductor, and configured to switch between first and second states responsive to a loop control signal. Calibration circuitry is configured to operate in first and second control modes, provide a calibration voltage in the first control mode, and store the calibration voltage in the second control mode. In a first instance of the first control mode, the calibration voltage is based on a difference between a feedback voltage and a reference voltage. In a second instance of the first control mode, the calibration voltage is the stored calibration voltage from the second control mode. A comparator is coupled to the switch and the calibration unit, and is configured to provide the loop control signal based on a combination of at least the feedback voltage, the reference voltage, the calibration voltage, and a periodic signal.

Voltage converter with loop control

Some aspects of the present disclosure provide for a circuit. In at least some examples, the circuit includes an integrator coupled between a first node and a second node and a filter coupled between the second node and a third node. The circuit further includes a buffer coupled between the third node and a fourth node and a first switch coupled between the fourth node and a fifth node. The circuit further includes a first capacitor coupled between the fifth node and a ground node, a first resistor comprising a first terminal coupled to the fifth node and a second terminal, a second switch coupled between the second terminal of the first resistor and the ground node.

Dynamic signal slope compensation

A converter system () includes a switch () adapted to be coupled to a switching terminal (). The switch () is configured to generate a switching signal having first and second states at the switching terminal (). Ripple generating circuitry () is adapted to be coupled to the switching terminal () and is configured to: generate a filtered signal based on the switching signal; and keep the filtered signal within a particular range. Loop control circuitry () is coupled to the ripple generating circuitry () and is configured to control the switch () based on the filtered signal.

DC-DC converters with loop control

A switching regulator includes a high side transistor coupled to an input voltage node. The switching regulator also includes a low side transistor coupled to the high side transistor at a switch node. An adaptive on-time control circuit is also included and is configured to cause the high side transistor to turn on for an adaptive period of time based on a ratio of an output voltage from the switching regulator to input voltage. The adaptive period of time is configured to occur responsive to a current through an inductor falling below a predetermined threshold.

A voltage converter system includes a switch configured to operate in first and second states. Compensation circuitry is configured to provide: a certain reference voltage as a reference voltage when the switch has the second state; and a compensated reference voltage as the reference voltage when the switch has the first state. Control circuitry is configured to switch the switch between the first and second states based on the reference voltage and a feedback voltage generated based on an output voltage of the voltage converter system.

A switch-mode power supply circuit includes a feedback terminal, a control circuit, a comparator, and a switch. The comparator includes a first input terminal coupled to a reference voltage source, and an output terminal coupled to an input terminal of the control circuit. The switch includes a first terminal coupled to the feedback terminal, a second terminal coupled to a second input terminal of the comparator, and a third terminal coupled to an output terminal of the control circuit.

Switch-mode power supply circuit

An example system includes an input voltage terminal; a power converter integrated circuit (IC) package fuselessly coupled to the input voltage terminal and having first and second pins, the power converter IC package configured to detect a short between the first and second pins; and a load circuit coupled to the power converter IC package.

Pin-short detection circuits

An LED driver includes a current driver receiving a reference voltage providing a charging current for driving channel output(s) of an LED panel. A pre-charge circuit includes a voltage selector having a first and second select input, a control input receiving a pre-charge voltage select signal based on a next ON/OFF state that is after a current sub-period, and a voltage selector output for switchably outputting a higher voltage level (V_H) when the next state is OFF and a lower level (V_L) when the next state ON. An enable circuit has an enable input receiving an enable signal active during a break time of the current sub-period for driving the channel output when enabled with a pre-charge current to V_H or a relatively higher voltage level when the next state is OFF, and to V_L or a relatively lower voltage level when the next state is ON.
