A multilayer sheet includes a core layer including a composition including about (60) to about (90) weight percent of polyphenylene, about (0) to about (20) weight percent of polystyrene, about (10) to about (20) weight percent of a hydrogenated block copolymer of an alkenyl aromatic compound and a conjugated diene, and optionally, a flame retardant additive; and a first cap layer disposed on a surface of the core layer, wherein the first cap layer includes polypropylene.

The sheet, at the thickness of 1.0 mm, has a smoke density of less than or equal to 200 particles after four minutes of burning according to ASTM E662-06. The sheet is thermoformable.

In one embodiment, a graphic image display can comprise: a backlight source; a light transmitting first sheet having a viewing side and a backside, with a plurality of geometric microstructure units on the backside; and a second layer comprising a source of graphic image information. The plurality of geometric microstructure units can be selected from microlenses, polyhedral shapes, lenticular shapes, and combinations comprising at least one of the foregoing. The graphic image display can be suitable for viewing under ambient light from the viewing side alone, under backlighting alone, and in the presence of both ambient light from the viewing side and backlighting.

The thermoplastic substrate can include a bisphenol-A polycarbonate homopolymer and a polycarbonate copolymer, and wherein the polycarbonate copolymer is selected from a copolymer of tetrabromobisphenol A carbonate and BPA carbonate; a copolymer of 2-phenyl-3,3-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)phthalimidine carbonate and BPA carbonate; a copolymer of 4,4'-(1-phenylethylidene) biphenol carbonate and BPA carbonate; a copolymer of 4,4&#x2032;-(1-methylethylidene) bis[2,6-dimethyl-phenol]carbonate and BPA carbonate; and combinations comprising at least one of the foregoing. The protective weathering layer can include resorcinol polyarylate and polycarbonate.

Disclosed herein is a display film stack for a backlight display system. In one embodiment, the display system comprises: a light source, a first film comprising a first surface texture layer that is formed of a first material of a first refractive index, and a second film comprising a second surface texture layer that is formed of a second material of a second refractive index. The second film is disposed between the light source and the first film. The second refractive index is greater than the first refractive index. The light source is disposed in optical communication with the first film and the second film. The first surface texture layer and the second surface texture layer comprise unit structures independently selected from the group consisting of hemispherical structures, partial hemispherical structures, ellipsoidal structures, immersed spherical beads, ellipsoidal beads, 'bell-shape' bump and complex lens shape structures.
