The method includes, but not limited to: determining a slow-down position, an encoding complete position, and an encoding window for each label; determining if the encoding complete position is positioned on a front side of the slow-down position when viewed from the media moving direction; in an instance in which the encoding complete position is positioned on the front side of the slow-down position when viewed from the media moving direction, causing the media to reduce the printing speed when the trailing edge of the encoding window reaches the slow-down position; and in an instance in which the encoding complete position is positioned on a back side of the slow-down position when viewed from the media moving direction, causing the media to maintain the printing speed at the predetermined printing speed.

Various embodiments disclose a method for operating a printer apparatus that includes a print head. The method includes causing a media hub to retract a media in a retract direction along a media path. Further, the method includes causing a first media sensor to generate a first signal during retraction of the media. Furthermore, the method includes monitoring the first signal to detect at least one of a leading edge or a trailing edge of a label of the plurality of labels. Upon detecting the at least one of the leading edge or the trailing edge of the label, causing the media hub to retract the media by at least a predetermined distance, wherein the predetermined distance is a distance between the print head and the first media sensor.

A thermal transfer printing device includes a thermal transfer printing module and a paper ejecting module. The paper ejecting module includes a D-shaped ejecting roller, a driving gear, a switching roller, a spring, and a stopper. During a thermal transfer paper is printed by the thermal transfer printing module, the spring provides a friction force to the switching roller. In response to the friction force, the switching roller is driven by the driving gear, and the D-shaped ejecting roller is not contacted with the thermal transfer paper. After the printing task of the thermal transfer printing module is completed, the friction force provided by the spring allows the D-shaped ejecting roller to transport the thermal transfer paper.

A clutch transmission mechanism of a printing device includes a power input shaft, a power input gear, a gear-shifting arm, a first gear-shifting module and a second gear-shifting module. In the cooperation of these components and modules, the printing device can be operated in a first gear-shifting mode or a second first gear-shifting mode. When the printing device can be operated in a first gear-shifting mode or a second first gear-shifting mode, the clutch transmission mechanism coaxially transmits the driving force. A sheet pick-up device of an automatic document feeder is provided. The sheet pick-up device includes a two-way clutch transmission mechanism, a sheet pick-up arm, a stopper and a linking assembly. When the two-way clutch transmission mechanism is operated to have the sheet pick-up arm move to a standby position, the stopper is moved with the linking assembly to be in a stopping position. Whereas, when the two-way clutch transmission mechanism is operated to have the sheet pick-up arm move to a sheet pick-up position, the stopper is in a non-stopping position. The sheet pick-up device has enhanced operating stability.
