Methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media for requesting, from a domain name system (DNS) server within an enterprise network, an IP address for a DNS name associated with a computing device, receiving the IP address, storing the IP address in a speculative DNS cache, the speculative DNS cache being operable to store IP addresses for a set of DNS names including the DNS name, providing, by the speculative DNS cache, a refresh period for the IP address, and determining that the refresh period of the IP address has tolled, and in response, refreshing the IP address in the speculative DNS cache.

Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for database management coordinators operated by a source server and a target server, respectively. The database management coordinator can be in a state selected from an initial state, a ready state, a transmission state, or a pause state. The database management coordinator operated by the source server can extract data in a first format stored in a first storage device and convert the data in the first format into a second format to be transmitted to the target serer. The database management coordinator operated by the target server can convert the data in the second format into a third format to be stored in a third storage device associated with the target server.

The embodiments disclosed herein may be used to test the workload capacity of a database. An embodiment operates by executing a first database transaction statement to a database. The execution status of the first database transaction statement is checked and the number of work threads connecting to the database is adjusted. In an embodiment, the number of work threads used may be less than the number of sessions simulated.
