An electrical connector used for bearing a chip module includes an insulating body, terminals arranged in the insulating body, a carrying member, for carrying the chip module to the insulating body, disposed at one side of the insulating body and contacting with the terminals, a pressing plate for pressing the carrying member or the chip module, and an elastic member having at least two limiting portions. The pressing plate and the carrying member are separately disposed at two adjacent sides on the periphery of the insulating body. The two limiting portions define a pivoting space, and the carrying member is pivotally connected to the pivoting space. The elastic member and the carrying member are disposed at the same side of the insulating body, the elastic member has a buffer portion, and the buffer portion abuts against the carrying member and is disposed between the insulating body and the carrying member.

Electrical connector

A composite connector, including: a first insulating body and a second insulating body, respectively having a first tongue plate and a second tongue plate arranged at the front ends thereof; multiple terminals respectively fixed on the first and second insulating bodies and exposed from surfaces of the first and second tongue plates; a first shielding sheet and a second shielding sheet which are integrally formed, fixed in the first and second tongue plates respectively and are positioned on one side of the terminals; and a metal shell forming a first insertion opening and a second insertion opening around the first and second tongue plates respectively. The first insertion opening is configured for insertion of a first docking connector. The second insertion opening is configured for insertion of a second docking connector. A combination of the first and second insertion openings are configured for insertion of a third docking connector.

Composite connector

An electrical connector used for carrying a chip module includes an insulating body having terminals arranged in the insulating body and used for contacting the chip module, a carrying member used for carrying the chip module to the insulating body, a pressing plate used for pressing the carrying member or the chip module, and a positioning member pivoted to the carrying member through a pivoting device. The pivoting device includes a pivoting shaft and at least one elastic portion. The elastic portion includes a first elastic section and at least two limiting portions being elastic and enclosing a pivoting space. The pivoting shaft is pivoted to the pivoting space. When the electrical connector is opened, the first elastic section springs back to remove the chip module from the insulating body without damaging the terminals, so as to align and contact the chip module with the terminals without tool.

A composite connector includes a first tongue, a second tongue, and multiple terminal units respectively arranged on the first tongue and the second tongue. Each of the terminal units includes four terminals independent from each other, which are respectively two non-high-speed differential signal terminals and a pair of high-speed differential signal terminals located between the two non-high-speed differential signal terminals. Terminals in each terminal unit are made of a same metal plate and are located on a same plane. There is no other terminal between adjacent two terminal units. A non-high-speed differential signal terminal of one terminal unit is adjacent to a non-high-speed differential signal terminal of an adjacent terminal unit.

An electrical connector used for mating a mating connector includes an insulating body having a base and a tongue extending from the base, a plurality of terminals fixedly disposed in the base portion in an upper row and a lower row, and a middle shielding sheet embedded in the tongue and located between the upper row and the lower row of terminals. The middle shielding sheet has a notch concavely formed on a front end of the middle shielding sheet and overlapping a central line of the middle shielding sheet along a longitudinal direction, at least one first projection portion extending from the notch, and at least one second projection portion extending from the notch. The first projection portion locates in front of the second projection portion, and the first projection portion is farther away from the central line of the middle shielding sheet than the second projection portion is.

An electrical connector includes an insulating body, a middle shielding sheet disposed in the insulating body, at least one row of terminals disposed in the insulating body and located on one side of the middle shielding sheet, an inner metal shell arranged on the insulating body, and an outer metal shell, enclosing the insulating body and the inner metal shell to form a mating cavity. The row of terminals includes at least one ground terminal. The ground terminal is projected laterally to form an urging portion. The inner metal shell at least partially encloses the terminals and the middle shielding sheet, and is in contact with the plate edge of the urging portion.

An electrical connector for connecting a chip module, includes an insulating body, multiple conducting terminals received in the insulating body, and a fixing member having a base for fixing the chip module. The insulating body has an accommodating cavity that is rectangular and opened upward. A stop wall projects upward from each of four corners of the accommodating cavity. Each conducting terminal has a contact portion extending upward for electrically contacting a conductive connection surface of the chip module. The contact portions are located in the accommodating cavity and do not exceed the stop wall upward. The base is assembled above the insulating body. Four extending portions extend downward from the base and are assembled at an outer side of the stop walls. An inner side of each extending portion is provided with a guiding inclined surface cooperating with the outer side of the stop wall.

An electrical connector and a conductive member thereof are provided. In one embodiment of the present invention, the conductive member is installed in an insulating body, and a solder ball is retained between two retaining ends of the conductive member to form the electrical connector. In the conductive member, a base extends downwards to form two soldering arms, each of the soldering arms has an extending arm and a retaining end extending from the extending arm, the retaining ends are exposed outside the insulating body, and at least one of the retaining ends is provided with a recessed portion, so as to enable the solder ball, when entering between the two retaining ends, to prop the two retaining ends and partially enter the recessed portion, so that the solder ball is securely retained by the two retaining ends, thereby preventing the solder ball from falling off from the two retaining ends when the electrical connector is under an external force.

Electrical connector and conductive member thereof

A board-to-board electrical connector includes a male plug having a first insulating body and a plurality of male terminals arranged in rows therein, each male terminal has a protrusion which includes a front guide section and a lower bottom supporting section protruding downwards out of a lower surface of the first insulating body; and a female receptacle correspondingly conducting the male plug, which has a second insulating body and a plurality of female terminals arranged in rows therein, each female terminal is opened with a slide hole, a first wide opening is formed therein for the protrusion to insert, so that the bottom supporting section is lower than the first wide opening, a narrow opening of the slide hole is formed for the front guide section to be pressed therein until the bottom supporting section moves under the narrow opening, so that the protrusion is limited in the slide hole.
