A method implemented by an agent monitoring device, comprises obtaining, by a sensor of the agent monitoring device, sensor data over a period of time, the sensor data describing a characteristic of an agent associated with the agent monitoring device, determining output data for the sensor based on the sensor data using a learning model, determining a sensor condition for the sensor, determining that a power level of a battery of the agent monitoring device meets the pre-defined power level, determining whether the output data meets the threshold value of the sensor condition in response to the power level of the battery having reached the pre-defined power level, and uploading an indication of the output data to at least one of a cloud server or a representative device in response to the output data for the sensor having met the threshold value of the sensor condition.

Power efficient agent monitoring devices and methods

A data management system for collecting data of users from sensors at an event. An event-specific token corresponding to the event attended by the users is generated, where the event-specific token includes event-specific signatures about the users attending the event, and the signature of the event venue or facility. The public data is sent to public storage as an aggregation of the collected data and tagged with the event-specific token. The public data is statistically analyzed to track interactions and assess risks of the user's potential infection of a communicable disease based on anomalous activity detected at the event, or based on the notifications from the event attendees, which are matched and validated anonymously using the event-specific tokens. Based on a result of the statistical analysis, an advisory alert is sent to the users to warn them of a level of risk of harm based on attendance of the event.

Data management system to track and distribute public data collection with user privacy protection and event token exchange

Collaborative local positioning techniques, such as could be used with smart phones, surveying equipment, or other mobile devices, are described. The techniques include independent techniques for distance measurement between devices, the relative positioning of devices, and an absolute orienting of the devices without use of fixed anchor points and through on-will participation of the devices to provide privacy. Distances between devices are determined by use of a sequence of positioning signals, such as a magnetic signal, each of which include an identifier of the transmitting device, the amplitude of the signal as transmitted, and the position of the signal within the sequence. The amplitude of the positioning signal as received can be compared to the amplitude as transmitted to obtain a distance.

Methods and system for collaborative local positioning

An embodiment of the application provides a method for representing internet of vehicles (IOV) knowledge based on a simplicial complex (SC). The method includes: representing k'-dimensional knowledge in a k-dimensional continuous space by using a k-dimensional SC with k′-dimensional function values; and representing a safe boundary of the IOV knowledge by using a boundary of the SC, where the IOV knowledge includes a steering wheel angle of an ego-vehicle, a road curvature, a speed of the ego-vehicle, and an inter-parameter relationship compliant with an objective law of vehicle dynamics, where the steering wheel angle of the ego-vehicle, the road curvature, and the speed of the ego-vehicle are obtained by using a sensor on the ego-vehicle.

Method, apparatus, and system for representing internet of vehicles knowledge base

The present technology discloses communication in a communications network. A source node receives a media file from a client device in the communications network. Contextual information in the file is obtained that is descriptive of content in the medial file. When a match to the media file is found, the contextual information is accessed from storage. Otherwise, the contextual information is generated by the source node by extracting attributes from metadata in the media file. The media file is then transmitted over a first data path, and the contextual information is transmitted over a second data path, where the first data path has a higher latency than the second data path such that the contextual information arrives at the destination node prior to the media file.

System and method of communications using parallel data paths

A node in a distributed network computes a hash of content for a service received in a data packet. The node verifies the data packet by comparing the hash of the content of a service received from a neighboring node to a hash of the content computed by the node. An amount of content of the service having a same identification is accumulated in a trusted execution environment (TEE) of the node, and a signature based on code stored in a TEE of the node is generated. The node then sends the data packet to the next neighboring node, where the service-related information includes the service ID, a hash of the service content and the signature. The service records with the accumulated amount of service content, accumulated hash values, and nodes' signatures are sent to the validation nodes to reach consensus for the service provided.

A computer implemented method for self-learning of a control system. The method includes creating an initial knowledge base. The method learns first principles using the knowledge base. The method creates initial control commands derived from the knowledge base. The method generates constraints for the control commands. The method enriches the knowledge base based on the feedback.

The present technology discloses storing data in a peer-to-peer network. A first computing device identifies other computing devices in the peer-to-peer network. Each of the computing devices have an established social relationship with at least another one of the computing devices. A degree of connection between the first computing device and each of the other computing devices is detected. A group of the other of computing devices is selected based on the degree of connection for storing the data, and a storage trust level is assigned to each of the other computing devices in the group. The storage trust level of each of the other computing devices is based on the established social relationship. The data is then transmitted to each of the other computing devices in the group for storage.

System and method of social authentication and data synchronization in a network

The disclosure relates to technology for detecting and tracking eye gaze. An apparatus comprises a visible wavelength camera, an infrared (IR) camera, and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to generate a three-dimensional (3D) point cloud of a person's face from IR data captured from the IR camera, generate a two-dimensional image of the person's face from visible wavelength data captured from the visible wavelength camera, and detect a symmetry plane of the person's face based on the 3D point cloud and the two-dimensional image. The symmetry plane divides the 3D point cloud into two portions. The one or more processors are further configured to reconstruct the 3D point cloud based on the symmetry plane, and track eye gaze of the person's face based on the reconstructed 3D point cloud.

Dynamic semantic networks for language understanding and question answering

Methods, apparatus, and systems are provided for integrated driver expression recognition and vehicle interior environment classification to detect driver condition for safety. A method includes obtaining an image of a driver of a vehicle and an image of an interior environment of the vehicle. Using a machine learning method, the images are processed to classify a condition of the driver and of the interior environment of the vehicle. The machine learning method includes general convolutional neural network (CNN) and CNN with adaptive filters. The adaptive filters are determined based on influence of filters. The classification results are combined and compared with predetermined thresholds to determine if a decision can be made based on existing information. Additional information is requested by self-motivated learning if a decision cannot be made, and safety is determined based on the combined classification results. A warning is provided to the driver based on the safety determination.
