There is provided battery cell assembly for a power tool battery pack. The battery cell assembly comprises a cell housing, a battery cell and a cell strap. The battery cell define a pole and is supported by the cell housing. The cell strap comprises a leg for electrically contacting the pole. The cell housing defines a first formation and the cell strap defines a second formation configured to engage the first formation so as to align the leg with the pole.

Battery pack and method

A battery pack comprising a frame and two or more battery cells installed to the frame. The two or more battery cells are interconnected by a rotatable connector which is configured to enable electrical connections between the two or more battery cells. The rotatable connector is adapted to be switched between at least a first rotational position in which the two or more battery cells being electrically connected, and a second rotational position, in which the two or more battery cells being not electrically connected. When the user actuates the knob on the battery pack, the connecting terminals change their rotational positions from a non-conducting position to a conducting position, thereby enabling the electrical connections between the groups of battery cells.

The configurable connector is adapted to be configured in a first status or a second status. A battery pack (), which includes: a housing; a frame disposed inside the housing; and two or more cells () mounted to the frame. The two or more cells () are connected with each other through a configurable connector (). The configurable connector () is suitable to connect or disconnect an electrical connection between the two or more cells (). Wherein the configurable connector () includes a user contactable switch () located on an outer surface () of the housing. The user contactable switch () is configured to move within a plane parallel to the outer surface (), such that the contactable connector () is switched between a first state and a second state. In the first state, the electrical connection exists between the two or more cells (); in the second state, the electrical connection does not exist between the two or more cells (). Therefore, the battery pack () may disconnect a connection of the internal circuit thereof in non-use state, such as shipping and storing, such that the battery pack () can disconnect its internal circuit in the non-use state such as transportation and storage, such that the loss caused by the self-discharging may be minimized and the safety hazard may be avoided at the same time.

The invention discloses a CDMA soft handover method which can be used in present code division multiple access systems. The invention preserves current soft handover mechanisms triggered by a pilot signal strength variation measured by a mobile station. At the same time it introduces a communication quality indication parameter&#x2014;continuous error frame indication measured by mobile station. Both function together to launch and to activate system soft handover. Without changing present soft handover processes, soft handover performance is improved, possibility of lost conversation is decreased and communication quality is raised.
