A signal transmission module includes a shell and a connector. The shell includes a box and a mating portion. The connector includes an insulative housing received in the box and a set of contacts. Each contact includes a middle portion, a contacting portion extending into the mating portion and a tail portion. A gap is formed between the insulative housing and the box for sealant being injected. The signal transmission module further includes a horizontal channel located between the insulative housing and the box for the sealant entering into and a vertical channel connecting the horizontal channel.

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of terminals retained in insulative housing, and a metal shell covering the insulative housing and including an inner side wall, a rear wall spaced from the inner side wall along a front-to-back direction, and an outer side wall bent forwardly from an outer side of the rear wall. The inner side wall defines an opening, and an inclined extensive plate extending forwardly and outwardly from an edge of the opening. The outer side wall has a retaining hole, and a front plate enclosing a front side of the retaining hole. The extensive plate has a hook bending inwardly and hitching the front plate after the hook passes through the retaining hole for preventing the outer side wall from moving forwardly and overly.

Electrical connector with improved metal shell

An electrical connector () for being mounted onto a PCB includes an insulative housing (); a set of electrical contacts () retained in the insulative housing (); and a metal shell () coupled to the insulative housing. the metal shell () has a pair of nuts () integrally protruding therefrom and defining threaded holes () for screws of a complementary plug screwed into, and a pair of board locks () integrally extending therefrom for being mounted onto the PCB.
