A system for location-aware authentication is configured to receive an authentication request associated with an identifier of a user for accessing an application and retrieves user information associated with the identifier and the application. The system then determines that the user information includes a geofence and information associated with a device of the user. Based on the geofence and the device information, the system sends a geolocation data request to the device, causing the device to gather and send the device's current geolocation data to the computing system. A data structure is generated to store data related to the device's current geolocation and sent to the application, which in turn causes the application to grant or deny the authentication request.

Location-aware authentication

User authentication techniques that use a companion device associated with a mobile computing device are described. The companion device receives a user authentication request from a user authentication service via the mobile computing device, displays information related to the user authentication request, receives an approval of the user authentication request, and transmits the approval of the user authentication request to the service via the mobile computing device. In one embodiment, after transmitting the approval, the companion device receives a token from the mobile computing device that includes a value obtained from the service, signs the token with a private key of a securely-stored signing key pair and provides the signed token to the service via the mobile computing device. In another embodiment, after the companion device transmits the approval to the mobile computing device, the mobile computing device provides a personal identification code from secure storage to the service.

User authentication using a companion device

Images are encoded into multidimensional vectors in a high-dimensional space utilizing an image model and textual content utilizing a text model. At least one of the image model and/or the text model are tuned such that the point within the multidimensional space pointed to by a vector encoded from an image is proximate to, as determined within the context of that multidimensional space, a point pointed to by a vector encoded from correlated textual content. Received images and textual content are encoded into image vectors and text vectors, respectively, and stored in an image graph and text graph, respectively. An input image can then be encoded as an input image vector and utilized to find close vectors in both the image graph and the text graph, thereby enabling an input image to be utilized to search textual content without using classifiers to deduce textual content therefrom.

Facilitating single sign-on on a device having sandboxed applications. A method includes identifying a plurality of associated applications. Criteria are evaluated to identify a primary application. Authentication state is stored at the primary application. One or more portions of the authentication state can be used by the applications in the plurality of associated application for authentication.

Single sign-on without a broker application

The present invention provides a salience-based media manipulation method and system for inserting contents into video presentations. The method includes establishing an advertisement-element pool containing a plurality of advertisement elements provided for insertion; obtaining an input video presenting at least one scenes and containing a plurality of original frames; and performing shot grouping and primary scene analysis on the input video to acquire scenes with static background and limited camera motion. The method also includes detecting white-space candidates in the acquired scenes for inserting at least one advertisement element and adjusting alignment between the white-space candidates and the at least one advertisement element. The adjusted alignment increases a salience gain of the advertisement elements and limit salience change of the scenes without insertion. The method further includes generating an output video by inserting the advertisement elements into the white-space candidates according to the adjusted alignment between the white-space candidates and the advertisement elements.
