A brush assembly for a brush motor includes a support member, brush holders, at least four brushes respectively mounted to the brush holders, and first and second motor terminals for connecting with an external power supply. A first filter circuit is connected between the first motor terminal and corresponding first brushes. A second filter circuit is connected between the second motor terminal and corresponding second brushes. The first and second motor terminals and the first and second filter circuits are mounted in a region defined by two corresponding adjacent brushes forming an angle greater than 60 degrees but less than 180 degrees.

Brush assembly

An electric motor includes a stator having multiple magnetic poles and a rotor rotatably mounted to the stator. The rotor includes a shaft, a commutator and a rotor core fixed to the shaft; and windings wound on the rotor core and electrically connected to the commutator. The rotor core is formed by stacking a plurality of laminations. Each lamination includes an inner ring having a hole for fixing the shaft; an outer ring radially spaced from the inner ring; multiple teeth extending outwardly from the outer ring, and multiple ribs connecting the inner ring to the outer ring. Each rib has a width w measured in a circumferential direction of the lamination. The number of ribs is n. The width w and the number n satisfy the formula: 0.75&#x2264;n&#xd7;w&#x2264;64, where the width w is measured in millimeters.

Electric motor

A brush motor has a housing, an end cap and a brush assembly. The brush assembly includes an brush card, brush cages disposed on the brush card, brushes mounted in the respective brush cages, terminals for connecting with an external power supply, and power supply circuits connecting the terminals to the respective brushes. The brush assembly further includes at least one grounding conductor mounted to the brush card and electrically connected to the power supply circuits. The grounding conductor includes a main portion fixed to the brush card and a tongue extending from the main portion. The tongue includes a bent portion for resilient connection to the end cap or housing.

Brush motor

A commutated DC motor () includes a stator () and a rotor () mounted in the stator (). The stator () has 2P magnetic poles, wherein P is an integer greater than 1. The rotor () includes a rotor shaft () with a rotor core (), and a commutator () fixed thereto. The rotor core () has multiple teeth defining m&#xd7;P slots therebetween, wherein m is an odd integer greater than 1. The commutator () has k&#xd7;m&#xd7;P segments, wherein k is 1 or 2. A rotor winding () formed by winding a single continuous wire is received in the slots of the rotor core () and connected to the segments of the commutator (), and has k&#xd7;m winding units. Each winding unit includes P coils in series connection and is directly connected to only two segments.

Rotor windings for DC motor

A brush motor includes a stator and a rotor. The stator includes multiple magnets attached to an inner surface of a stator housing and a brush assembly fixed relative to the housing. The rotor includes a rotor core and a commutator located in a receiving space defined by a mounting portion and an annular sidewall of the rotor core. The commutator includes multiple conductive segments, each of which has a leg penetrating the rotor core and connected with windings on the rotor core.

Brush motor and cooling fan incorporating the motor

An electric motor includes a stator, a rotor, and multiple brushes. The stator forms multiple poles. The number of brushes is less than the number of stator poles. The rotor includes a commutator, windings, and equalizing units. The commutator includes segments electrically connected with the windings. Each of the equalizing units is electrically connected with multiple equipotential segments to make the equipotential segments have the same potential. Multiple parallel circuits are formed between the equipotential segments by the equalizing unit. The brushes are arranged to slidably contact the segments of the commutator.

A window lift has a motor and a gearbox. The motor is a permanent magnet motor, comprising a stator and a rotor rotatably mounted to the stator. The stator or the rotor comprises a housing and magnets fixed to inner surface of the housing. The radial cross section of the housing comprises n side portions and n connecting portions, where n is an integer greater than 2. Adjacent side portions are connected together by one corresponding connecting portion and the magnets are fixed at portions corresponding to the connecting portions. The radial cross section of each side portion is like a convex curve line, which is curved outwardly relative to a straight line passing through the two ends of the convex curve line.
