A cartridge detachably attachable to a main body of an image forming apparatus is provided. The cartridge includes a rotary member and a cartridge coupler. The cartridge coupler includes a transmission member coupled to a rotation axis of the rotary member, a receiving member connected to a set coupler provided in the main body for transmission of power, and a connection member connecting the transmission member and the receiving member together. The receiving member has an Oldham structure allowing movement relative to the transmission member in an axial direction. The receiving member is movable to a first position at which a rotation axis of the receiving member is misaligned with a rotation axis of the transmission member in an attachment or detachment direction, and to a second position at which the rotation axis of the receiving member is aligned with the rotation axis of the transmission member.

Cartridge and electrophotographic image forming apparatus including the same

An electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes a cartridge for forming a visible toner image. The cartridge includes a development chamber having a toner inlet through which toner is supplied into the development chamber, a development roller provided in the development chamber, and a supply roller provided in the development chamber that supplies toner to the development roller. The cartridge further includes a first toner transporting member that transports toner supplied through the toner inlet in an axial direction of the supply roller, and a toner supply guide that is disposed between the first toner transporting member and the supply roller and includes a slit which has a length in the axial direction and through which toner is dropped onto the supply roller. The toner supply guide is downwardly inclined in the axial direction.

Electrophotographic image forming apparatus

Provided is a process cartridge attachable to and detachable from a main body of an image forming apparatus. The process cartridge includes at least one roller, sidewalls on an axial direction of the at least one roller, and a first cartridge electric contact and a second cartridge electric contact provided on the sidewalls. One of the first cartridge electric contact and the second cartridge electric contact is a fixed electric contact, and the other is a movable electric contact that is movable in a direction protruding from the sidewalls.

The cartridge includes a memory unit that includes a contact portion via which the cartridge is connected to the main body and is connected to the main body to transmit information of the cartridge to the main body. The contact portion is moved to a first position at which the contact portion is hidden inside the cartridge and a second position at which the contact portions is protruded out of the cartridge to be connected to a connection portion provided in the main body.

The toner cartridge attachable to, or detachable from a main body of an image forming apparatus includes a toner containing unit, a waste toner containing unit that is disposed below the toner containing unit in a gravitational direction and comprises a waste toner inlet through which waste toner flows, a first waste toner transporting member that transports the waste toner from the waste toner inlet in a length direction of the waste toner containing unit, and a second waste toner transporting member that transports the waste toner that is transported in the length direction of the waste toner containing unit in a width direction of the waste toner containing unit to disperse the waste toner in an inner portion of the waste toner containing unit, wherein a rotational center of the second waste toner transporting member is lower than a rotational center of the first waste toner transporting member.

An electrophotographic image forming apparatus and development cartridge are provided. The apparatus including a separating member mounted in a development cartridge. The separating member includes a development nip separating portion and a charging nip separating portion respectively separating a development nip and a charging nip when the development cartridge is mounted in a mounting portion of a photoreceptor cartridge mounted in a body.

A developing apparatus includes an organic photo conductor, an OPC frame part to support the organic photo conductor, a developing roller to develop a latent image formed on the organic photo conductor by supplying a developer, a developing roller frame part to support the developing roller, a developer storing part to store the developer and provided with a supplying opening through which the developer is supplied to the developing roller, a spacer removably interposed between the OPC frame part and the developing roller frame part and spacing the OPC frame part from the developing roller frame part such that the organic photo conductor and the developing roller do not contact each other, a leakage preventer removably attached to and sealing the supplying opening, and a connecting part to connect the spacer with the leakage preventer. Thus, the spacer and the leakage preventer are capable of being removed simultaneously.
